The notebooks came exactly as expected: palm-sized (for an adult) red notebooks, individually wrapped to give out as party favors. Though not exactly identical to the first seasons of Blue's Clues (I guess they're from the later shows), I got these for my sister as a novelty Christmas gift, as Blue's Clues was one of her favorite shows during childhood.
The only thing I wish they'd done differently is make the show's title smaller, as it takes up most the back of the notebook, or else put it on one of the cover's insides.

The four crayons that came with were different colors, but I can tell they're of cheap quality just looking through the wrapper. One of the crayon's was already broken, but it's really not necessary to email the seller about this as the most other sellers charge around $10 for one notebook alone, sans writing utensil.

It's a great deal for four notebooks. Just plan on using your own crayons.

My son loves Blue's Clues so we had a Blue's Clues birthday party. I put these handy dandy notebooks in the goody bags and they were a hit! The kids were so excited including my son who still carries one around with him.

When ordering, there was a picture of a package with 4 notebooks and 4 crayons enclosed in plastic. The crayons inside the package looked like they were stripped. What arrived was 4 little notebooks (all separate) and a package of crayons that a kid would be given in a restaurant. Not as pictured or expected...crayons definitely not Blues Clues like and notepads were very thin.

I purchased this set for my Blue's Clues boys at home. The notebooks are adorable. I only wish I received the actual crayons shown. I received a pack of four ordinary crayons. The boys really didn't care anyhow. Nice notebooks!

My son is 18 months old and a HUGE fan of Blue's Clues. I was not looking for a long term use toy, which is why I'm glad this came in packs of 4. On the first day, he held a notebook all afternoon long, ate with it and would not part with it at bedtime. We had to go in after he fell asleep and hide it till the next day. The notebooks are not very durable; the covers are a thin cardboard and the paper inside is thinner than printer paper. This is perfectly fine with me. He colors on it, rips out pages, and flips through the books no problem. It is soooo entertaining to watch him watch the show with his notebook in hand. It is expensive for the quality of the product, but the enjoyment that my son has experienced (and the ease of replacing-he's gone through 2 already) is priceless. This is a must buy for any Blue's Clues fan.

The Blue's Clue's Handy Dandy Notebook is very cute and great for kids who like the program.
I did find it had a smaller crayon (for writing) than those notebooks of the past. However, it does the job. Good product!
