Product Description

Editorial Review

Putting a puzzle together involves a lot of skills that are important for preschool and kindergarten-age kids. Tyco Preschool has designed a puzzle that will tickle your child's sense of humor while teaching crucial problem solving, creative thinking, concentration, and eye-hand coordination skills, as well as body part orientation. The 10-piece plastic puzzle--a blue hound dog sitting in a large, red chair--has large, easily grasped pieces that fit into well-defined slots. A stray paw in the bottom of the chair is an amusing touch that will make your preschooler giggle (and maybe ask "Why is it there?"). This is a perfect puzzle for the child with a "bigger picture" kind of mind. --Sandy Hirsch

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent if you're under three, April 11, 2000

My daughter was given this for her second bd, and she loved it for at least a year. Now that she's three, she prefers to compile the puzzle outside of its little tray, and in fact she's not really too interested with it anymore. I would definitely recommend this for under three but not much beyond that. I cannot imagine a five-y-o enjoying it!

We bought this for our 2 year old son and he loves it! My husband couldn't figure it out but our son did and so do all the children ages 1-5 that come to visit. It's a great toy and a lot of fun. The pcs. are large and easy to manipulate but the puzzle isn't super simple, it requires some thought and concentration. Even our 1 year old is able to put the paw print in to finish the puzzle. Great toy!

i just bought this puzzle-toy and found it to be much larger (which means easier for a child to handle) than expected and very bright and cheery to look at...definately a child-pleaser: not too easy and not too hard but lots of fun. a great gift to give.
