Putting a puzzle together involves a lot of skills that are important for preschool and kindergarten-age kids. Tyco Preschool has designed a puzzle that will tickle your child's sense of humor while teaching crucial problem solving, creative thinking, concentration, and eye-hand coordination skills, as well as body part orientation. The 10-piece plastic puzzle--a blue hound dog sitting in a large, red chair--has large, easily grasped pieces that fit into well-defined slots. A stray paw in the bottom of the chair is an amusing touch that will make your preschooler giggle (and maybe ask "Why is it there?"). This is a perfect puzzle for the child with a "bigger picture" kind of mind.
