5.0 out of 5 stars Great harp, blazing guitar!!!!!
I have had this for years, and certainly heard it many, many times. I was surprised to see only one review, and that it was unfavorable. There is a looseness to the session - after all, it is live - but it is a glorious looseness. This is not sloppy at all, and it's not full of mistakes. I will confess to not being excited about the Billy Branch songs, but that's all and...

2.0 out of 5 stars Features great harp, poor gestalt
I have been blowing blues harp for 35 years. I have a substantial CD collection. There is some good harmonica playing on these tracks. However, it is not tasteful. I have had this for years, and certainly heard it many, many times. I was surprised to see only one review, and that it was unfavorable. There is a looseness to the session - after all, it is live - but it is a glorious looseness. This is not sloppy at all, and it's not full of mistakes. I will confess to not being excited about the Billy Branch songs, but that's all and it is just my taste. There is nothing "wrong". The others are just amazing. Yes, there is some feel of "I want to impress" but that's part of life, especially in a situation like this. They all sing and play with fervor, and Junior Watson's guitar is on fire. His playing alone is worth the cost of the set! My take on the disc is that it captured a moment, in all its raw glory, and is a wonderful and entertaining document. Look at the lineup - it is ALL highlights.
