if you're up to it. It ain't easy keeping up with with those sax cats. We have Byrd tunes like 'Billie's Bounce' and 'Blues For Alice' played at a fast challenging tempo and lesser known tasteful ditties like 'Birks Works' Dizzie Gillespie and more. Alot of the tunes remind you of Route 66. But the sound quality is fine. You get two versions of each tune. One with the head played one time through so you can work out a harmony and a headless one so it's all on you baby ! The rhythm section consists of drums, bass and piano all expertly layed down and recorded. I'd also recommend the Coltrane jam track book/CD because it's the same quality. The book gives you the head notes and basic chords in various keys; also known as leadsheets. Excellent product meeting a need for improvisers !
