If you want to know about the great blues artists,this is the book for you,for a price thats next to nothing.There are snapshots of all the greats (and not so greats),and it is a fantastic introduction.Im sorry that I found what I think is a mistake.The article on Black Ace features a pic Of Funny Papa Smith (am I sad or what?). A great book.

Excellent overview of the greats and contemporaries. Provides outstanding yet concise snapshots of a wide variety of artists. An interesting insight into the careers of a wide spectrum of blues artists. For a great summary of the giants (and those who might be giants...), I strongly suggest you get yer-damn-self a copy of this superb volume.
