These Venus releases of the Bill Charlap Trio performing songs from America's "golden period" are absolutely first rate. Charlap and his cohorts, Jay Leonhart and Bill Stewart imbue each selection with taste and respect. Yet, they also put a new "wrinkle" on them with superb arrangements and an updated harmonic approach. If I had to pick one release over the other, I couldn't. They're all great!
