This is the best thing I have heard in a long long time.

This album takes everything good the band did previously and just plain makes it better.

This album is fantastic. People say the singer Elin sounds like Janis Joplin, and I'm not sure that's really the case, but it is the case that she has an amazing voice with a lot of power. So much power, in fact, that one of my complaints about their earlier recordings was that she tended to overwhelm the music.

Well, that isn't so on this fantastic new release. Whoever produced the album probably also realized the need to better meld Elin's powerful voice with the music, because not only does the mixing bring her volume down a notch, they actually re-wrote some of the songs displayed on earlier recordings. Whereas before some of the songs might sound almost bombastic, now they sound more bluesy. I'm thinking mostly of their song 'Devil Man', which previously could be just a bit too much but is now a really good blues rock boogie.

At any rate, I would describe this album as Graveyard fronted by Janis Joplin- in other words, a great blues rock jam band with a great, powerful female singer. This album takes everything good the band did previously and just plain makes it better.

This cd is freakin awesome. Anyone that likes pure rock and roll with a 60's - 70's flavor should like this album. I buy a hundred cds a year and only review one or two at most. This one was worth taking the time to get the word out. I just hope this band can stay together long enough to put out a few albums. As you listen to this album you will hear influences from so many bands that you will think you've entered a time warp. If this album would have came out in 1973 it would have sold millions. Don't be afraid to take a chance on this one, you won't be sorry. Of all the albums I've bought this year this may be the best (Dave Grohl has his work cut out for him when Foo Fighters' new album comes out in a couple of months). I've been an avid rock music fan since the early 70's so it takes a lot to turn my head anymore. This band certainly has.

What so many bands TRY to do, refer to the GOLDEN AGE of heavy, Blues based Rock, and yet NOT be some kind of "curio" act, well... this band of multi-national young guns have just NAILED. Take it from a cat who was THERE for the Halcyon days of PETER GREEN'S FLEETWOOD MAC or CAPTAIN BEYOND, these young 'uns have delivered, in spades, and this is only their debut long player. It's all here, chops, vision, atmosphere, and that hard to truly define "vibe", you just KNOW it when you hear it, and it's all in the grooves, only folks who truly CAN channel the greats can get this close, I was there the night FLEETWOOD MAC cut the live SHRINE '69 platter, this comes as close as anyone will EVER get to nailing that vibe, like a 2014 version of THE MAC'S "THEN PLAY ON" LP. A LOT of younger bands worship at this alter, probably because as many younger cats have told me that modern Rock just doesn't get it. To illustrate the point, I was standing outside a BEST BUY store a few years back when Zep's "HOW THE WEST WAS WON" thingy came out, got to talking to a kid about having SEEN Zep in 1968, and so many other times, and he said "well, even I know that NONE of the bands from my generation will EVER touch Zep or the SABS or anything like that", I had to tell him, "well, son, you're right, but since you GET that, you're way ahead of the game". So...get ahead of the game, buy this, slap it on, adjust your wig, and return to the time when true GIANTS bestrode the earth, this IS that good, I have to say that there are MORE good young bands out now then at any other time in YEARS, and THIS is going to be one that will hold up and TESTIFY.

Following the 2013 “Devil Man” EP, the debut album from this band with members out of Sweden, the United States & France shows a new level of passion and talent. Elin Larsson has a voice that carries the smooth power of a deep soul; she delivers her words with a naturally relaxed conviction that quickly grows on you—often recalling Lene Kjaer of Danish band Fuzz Manta or maybe Maggie Bell from Stone the Crows. But it’s the guitarist & rhythm section who have really upped their game here. The ghosts of Peter Green, John McVie & Mick Fleetwood haunt these tracks. Subtle, sustained blues notes, thumping & classy/clever bass lines, and driving percussion frequently recall the brilliant blues-rock days of early Fleetwood Mac. Blues Pills play classic 60s/70s style blues-rock with a potent and genuine authenticity that will have you rockin’ around the room in a smoky cloud of soulful air-guitar ecstasy. Recommended.

I can't stop listening to this CD. This is the best thing I have heard in a long long time. Elin Larsson is a hell of a singer I don't think there is anything like her out there and you just don't hear this kind of talent anymore that she possess as well as charisma. This band has all the chops excellent guitar work and solos. Hard to believe with all the crap that is out there now days to actually find a band that is this great and writes awesome songs. I hope they continue they are going to be big.

Good new vintage stuff. All of it has a very familiar feel to it, like Zep, Purple, and old Fleetwood Mac. You will feel like you have been listening to the tracks forever... only drawback is that it gets a bit boring in the middle of the album and finishes slow (but with a strong song)

Elin Larsson is amazing.
Dorian Sorriaux has a vintage vibe to his playing that is refreshing.
The band is tight.
