David Lunde taught for many years at SUNY/Fredonia. He is a leading science fiction poet, with publications in Asimov's and other magazines. His work has been nominated 5 times for the Nebula Award and won the 1992 Rhysling Award.

Soaring in the towered skies of poetry,

I read through David Lunde's book and for a few minutes had a gasp or re-recognisance much like deja-vu, only I found myself remembering the future instead of the past. It was like soaring, no-- VAULTING in the star chamber of mythic bathos of a future medievalism, yet pleasantly tittilated nevertheless. This poet does with language what the artist does on his palette; mix and miggle. A true transport into irreality yet grounded safely on Earth.
