Just listened to this album again after a couple of years. And everytime I do, it hits me like a ton of bricks. I recall first hearing the Bluesounds and Dave 'Isokynä' Lindholm in the early 80's. I just wish I'd had a chance to catch them live. Since I did not, this album is almost like being there. Their rendition of 'take me to the river' blows away cleanly the Talking Heads cover by its intensity alone. If you're lucky enough to posess this recoding, count your blessings, if not, do everything you can to obtain a copy.
