Small, light, but drops out too frequently,
By
This review is from: Bluetooth Audio Transmitter Adapter for iPod / iPhone and iPhone 3G
Small, light, and has a latch that keeps it in place. Takes power from my Iphone. I use it listening to audio books with my Motorola S9. Draws down the battery on my iphone but outlasts the battery on my S9. Main bug is that the audio drops out ocassionally and drives me nuts when it interupts the story line in audio books. At seemingly random periods, tt starts stuttering, followed by intermittant fragments, then nothing coming thru and eventually resumes streaming after about 1 minute.
Pluses are its small size and locking catch that keeps it securely attached. While I can plug it in without removing my iPhone from its Piel Frama leather case, the case docking cutout is not large enough to allow the locking catches to engage. Phone calls can be picked up while streaming audio. The stream is interupted momentarily, but resumes when the phonecall is answered. I don't think the caller can hear the streaming programming, but I bring the ipod player app up and pause playback so the streaming audio isn't playing over my telephone conversation. I paired it once with my Moto S9, it pairs up to my S9 in a few seconds after I turn on both devices. Works fine except for the drop outs, which, is still with me after 2 months of use. If I had it do do over, I'd buy the Sony plug in ipod unit as reviewers reported the Sony does not drop out like "other" units.

This product works well with the iPhone. When you connect it, you have to tell the iPhone not to enter Airplane mode but that is no big deal. I get the occasional drop out as other users report, but it appears to me to be related to accidentally bumping the transmitter. It's usually about a second long and is no big deal for music although I can see it being a problem for audiobooks and podcasts.
Nothing is perfect, and there are a few gotcha's. The transmitter works fine with what ever unit I pair it with, but it appears to support only 1 pairing. By this, I don't mean simultaneous parings, I mean one pairing total. I have some stereo bluetooth headphones and I have a set of portable bluetooth speakers. If I want to switch back and forth, I need to repair the devices. I tested the Sony bluetooth transmitter that has the cord connection to the headphone plug and it allowed me to pair with multiple devices so I could easy switch from speaker to headset. The other gotcha is in the fact that it works not on the headphone jack but the dock port on the iPhone. This is good because the audio quality is better since it is all digital, but you cannot control the volume from the iPhone. So if you are listening to something with low volume in a load environment, you can only get so much volume out of it. Like I said though, the quality is better and I get no distortion like I did with the Sony transmitter when I would crank up the volume. Other than that, it works really well. The range is more than 30 feet and the audio quality sounds good. I am happy with it.

It's really a satisfaction to enjoy listening to music on my iPhone without being attached to a headset with cable. The mix between iPhone, SRS-200BD and Motorola S) is excellent. The Only thing I can say is that sometimes the connection is lost and the music kind of jumps.

This transmitter works as advertised and is the solution for eliminating wires if you have an iPhone. I have not used a wired headset since setting up the SRS-200BD. It also works with my 30gb iPod, I receive signal up to 30' when in line of sight. The setup directions could be more detailed, but the directions in a previous review are accurate. After initial pairing, disconnect the SRS-200BD and pair your headset with your iPhone to receive phone calls if this is supported with your headset. The transmitter attaches well and I have not experienced it falling out as appears to be the case with the Motorola transmitter.

This is a great little gadget. It streams music from my iPhone and iPod Mini well... the SRS button thing is a great sound booster and gives a fuller sound... nevertheless the sound isn't perfect, but it's good enough for me to pair my iPhone or iPod to my headphones while snowboarding. The only other bummer, is that it is a power drain... i find i can only get about 4 hours of music out of my Mini or iPhone... which is fine for 1/2 day of riding, but not for a whole day. wish there was a product like this that had a "pass through" so i could add an external battery. pretty cool though, it is also compatible with the A2DP protocols, so it works like a charm also! I'd recommend it!

I absolutely love this! It's easy to use, has great sound quality and you can switch the surround sound and quality with one click of a button. It also works with my Iphone so I can plug it in, set my phone down, and walk around my house listening to music and taking incoming phone calls. It's also great to use when you are working out because I hate wearing my ipod on my arm and wires getting caught. This allows you to enjoy your music wirelessly and take incoming phone calls. Its really great technology and worth the money!!
Absolutely great product and I love it! Will use it with all my music players.

the srs-200bd is great for streaming stereo music from my iphone to my orokr sunglasses, I was so bumbed that the iphone would not stream music to my sunglasses, I had to use my ipod in one pocket and iphone in the other, now with this device attached I stream both, a great device for a fix that was needed.
Pairing was easy, 1st you pair you iphone to the sunglasses then pair the srs-200bd and your off and running, music and phone wireless.

Look i have the S805 DJ Motorola headphones which are really nice, the problem was when i use them with the cellphones the volume was really low, quality medium (by the way Sony W350) so I purchase the adapter for ipod, (motorola D650) which increase the volume alot, but the quality was terrible, well the basses were really bad, so I decide to purchase this (SRS - 200BD WOW) and this one really satify my needs it was really close the wire conection so recommend you this adapter for your IPOD by the way it detects the headphones much bettter than the motorola. so its a good deal.
