Product Description
The program is very user-friendly, and easy to learn. The package includes software for reading and resetting codes. Gnet's DigitalDash 5, a front end software for a Car PC that includes OBD functionality when the device is connected to your car pc. The processor is compatible with the AT command set for the widest compatibility with freeware and commercial programs written for the ELM series of interface chips from Elm Electronics. The connection to the computer is USB via a built in USB to serial converter.

Communication Error,

I ordered this adapter to use with the torque application on a droid x. The set up was easy and successful and in a matter of minutes i was connected, reading my fault codes and thier descriptions as well as live data. Shorty after, while continuing to play with the application with my new ELM 327, i notice torque telling me my adapter was faulty. It had stopped communicating or would communicate intermittently. The rpm gauge would not move when i blipped the throttle and notice that at the same time my throttle % gauge didnt move either. I found in the adapter staus option that the application recorded adapter faults, just as your ecm records engine faults. It was up to 10 faults in less than a minute of use. The counter, obviously, should stay at zero. I attribute this to the quality of the adapter. All of the $30 to $40 ones look like they are manufacured by the same company and arent the highest quality looking, if you will, either. I am returning this and hoping the seller can return a known working adapter and that this is an isolated problem.

Shipped here in good time. Plugged it into OBD II connection of car. Came up on phone bluetooth as CHX. Tried to pair with pin that came with device (1234). Got an error of incorrect pin. Tried every basic pin i could think of and still no work. Sent a bad feedback to seller and got a quick response that the correct is 6789. Pin worked and was able to pair with phone. Everything after that seems to work as advertised. Deleted seller negative feedback. Not a perfect experience but still not bad.

Do not order from New Harbor! They sent me a wired version -- not the bluetooth wireless version as is described.
