On top of that the range sucks. You have to be roughly 10 feet from the receiver in order to keep your connection. Forget about getting a signal through walls.
I have resorted to simply plugging in my phone via the 3.5mm auxiliary out.
Once you finally make a connection it does work, but just barely. Save yourself some money--don't buy this product.
The biggest drawback is that it only maintains a single bluetooth connection, meaning if my wife's phone is connected, mine can't be. Very frustrating, especially if you have multiple wireless devices like we do. I was hoping to maintain a perpetual connection with my iPad and connecting the phones whenever we needed - can't do it.
Another issue is that I can't use this with my wireless speakers when they're unplugged. The Logitech S715i will power the device and recharge an iPhone, but only when plugged into a wall outlet. That's disappointing, considering I bought the speakers because they were wireless, but this is my own fault for not thinking it through (when the speakers are on battery power, the electrical throughput stops - I knew that already when my phone stopped charging after unplugging the speakers).
I would recommend this product if you have a single device you plan to use with your speakers - in that case, its flawless. I do find myself wishing I had bought either a different device that allows for multiple bluetooth sessions, or just bit the bullet and bought a new speaker.
This works great and is very simple to use.
