This review is from: Bluewater Bride -- The Voyage of the Halcyon (Paperback)
On a whaling ship, greasy was good. A hunt went on for years, and every man aboard wished the deck to be ever-slick with all that could be drained and boiled from beast after beast. The whole business seems unthinkable today. We want to save the whales, not slaughter them. But author Norton sails into the winds of contemporary conceit and political correctness as boldly as the Halcyon sails into hurricanes and pirate-infested waters. Fans of his last book, The House:1916, will recognize Norton's deft touch at melding history and fiction. Bluewater Bride is a greasy read, indeed.
