Customer Reviews

I am very happy with this water bottle.
Blake
Some people complain about the cap leaking, but once I realized that you had to actually screw the lid on tight I haven't had a problem!
Matt
I've only had this bottle for 5 weeks and it already has a crack on the bottom.

I'm glad the bottles are bpa free, and they're very convenient as far as the construction/handle. The problem is the actual capacity. I noticed that while filling the first few at the quarter machine, there was quite a bit that ran over. I measured the capacity of the bottle using a 2 cup measuring cup, and realized the water bottles are actually almost 1 cup shy of a full gallon.
Thats why I gave it 3 stars. Its a nice bottle, but the capacity seems falsely advertised.

update:
after all the bottles we bought, we're down to 3.
All the others have cracked, usually at the bottom.
We thought the first one cracked because maybe we were a little too rough with it when we set it down on the counter.
But that wasnt the case because no matter how careful we were with the others they eventually cracked too.
These bottles seem very 'brittle', and a complete waste of money.

I drink a gallon of water per day. I am a first responder and I take this thing everywhere I go.

The first one I bought broke after 3 weeks of use. I accidentally walked into it while wearing steel-toed boots.

The second one I bought broke when it fell 6 feet.

I keep on buying this because it is the only thing that suits my needs: 1 gallon, BPA-free, and easy to carry around.

Bottom line: Great product. It would be 5 stars if it didn't break so easily. Just be very careful and it should be fine

21 March update: Screw this. It fell from my hand in a parking lot and shattered. I'n not buying any more.

My husband bought this water jug for work. When the product first arrived we were stoked. It was a great size for him, and seemed like it would last. The bottle did leak if it was laid down. Not a problem unless it got knocked over in the car. However after about 10 uses, the bottle cracked! It was not dropped or crushed. Very disappointing since this is one of the only drinking bottles of it's size available.

I got the 64oz BlueWave water jug because I drink water (every day) and needed a reuseable jug. I thought I found a good solution with this item. However, less than 12 months after making my purchase of this along with this BustedWaves bigger 1 gallon brother - the big jug cracked and water spilled everywhere. It busted open on the bottom seam.
Less than a month later after that incident (today), I reached for my 64 oz jug at work and got all wet noticing a familiar crack in the bottom of this jug.
I bought 3 of these jugs - and I will NOT use the 3rd. If you want a water jug for a couple of months - go ahead and buy this brand. If you want a water jug that lasts...DO NOT BUY THIS. You'll just end up with water everywhere except in the BustedWave jug.
By the way Penut, I would highly recommend against putting this flimsy jug in a dish washer. You'll just make it weaker than it already is.
The most frustrating thing about this whole experience (besides having to dry out a gallon of water all over the floor and having a wet workplace) - is that I paid money for this jug.
Unfortunately, those 2-day rave reviewers of this product will be sadly awakened to discover water all over everywhere courtesy of BustedWave. Just keep in mind, its not a matter of IF the Bluewave jug will break...but rather a matter of WHEN it will break.
By the way, a viable option is the Rubbermaid water jugs. They don't have the greatest cap (its a snap on - not screw on), but the water jug itself does NOT leak.

I like this 1 gal bottle. I have a mini fridge in my apartment and this fits well. Seems more durable than
others. The handle is large, so it is easy to hold. The mouth opening is a good size. I contacted the
company and was informed the bottle is made out of BPA free Tritan plastic. I will certainly buy again if I
need more.

Flimsy plastic, broke after one drop! I bought another one from Sprouts for only 6 bucks that has a much harder plastic, that's been great.

I've only had this bottle for 5 weeks and it already has a crack on the bottom. Really wish it would have out lasted longer because I like the size.

This product is great for getting in that fill of your water every day. However it has a downside when full or half full if you drop it accidentally it will break. If you hit it along the side of something, anything it will crack. The plastic is not strong enough to withstand wear and tear of this nature without breaking. So it's not good to take around with you to the gym or workout of that nature you will get water everywhere. Other than that its a good product.
