Delicious,
By Gordon Inkeles "author of The Art of Sensual ... (Northern California) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Bluffer's Guide to Middle Age: The Bluffer's Guide Series (Bluffer's Guides - Oval Books) (Paperback)
There's nothing oxymoronic about this title. You can, indeed, bluff your way through middle age, but it wouldn't hurt to have this invaluable guide on hand in case you are challenged.
Mason is exceedingly kind to his readers, many of whom will find themselves described with unerring accuracy. However, if knowledge is power, even those middle aged readers who are in full denial will at least learn what to expect here. Invaluable tips on "royal jelly," dieting, sleep, hormones, genetics and sex, make sections like "The Decline and Fall" and "Tricks of Time" seem a bit less ominous. Attention Trophy Wives and Boy Toys: your spouse may end up with multiple "gift" copies of this book. Be a good sport and just laugh it off, particularly if it turns up under your pillow. One of these days you may be grateful for the practice in bluffing.
