I bought a pair of Blundstone's to walk garlic fields in the winter (wet conitions)to keep my feet dry. They did a nice job keeping my feed dry but the rubber soles broke apart when I stomped my feet to get the mud off. The rubber soles on both boots crumbled with very little effort. The boots were only worn 10 times when this occured and the boots looked new with very lttle wear.

The biggest disappointment was when I recieved no responce from the company when I send a customer response. I can understand that I may have recieved a defective pair but when a company does not respond to customer complaints - I will not make another purchase.

These boots are just about perfect for travel and around town. All-day comfort (actually don't want to take them off...) and they look dressy enough to pass for the office, casual enough to go pub-hopping.

Relatively lightweight yet sturdy; easy on-off (especially important for showing our airport security types that, no, you're not another shoe bomber); weather proof.

Can't ask for more: comfort, style, versatility.

On size: I found they were not quite true to size, but I have a wide foot. If you are E or wider, you should probably order a half-size up.

I bought a pair of these to replace an old pair of 500s that finally gave up the ghost. They are everything the old pair was, plus the new nice lining. But they are definitely smaller. I'm a woman with wide feet, ordered the 5.5, which matches the old pair. I assumed they were a bit tight because they were new, and wore them with thinner socks. They are smaller over the arch, and length of heel, slightly less wide. Putting them sole to sole with the old pair makes this obvious. I wish I had not worn them and sent them back for the next size up. Otherwise great shoe.

I really liked this boots, I have the Timberland version and I like this much better. They live up to their name. very comfortable and great looking.

I bought these for use as a winter boot that I could wear around town and nice enough to wear into the office in Maine. It's not a boot that I'll use for extended outdoor activities in our cold winters but is perfect walking through the snow and slush we get and cool and comfortable enough for all day wearing in the office.

I have flat, narrow feet and the boots were quite tight when I first got them, to the point that I actually ordered one size up (I originally ordered a US 10 1/2 and then ordered a US 11). Once I tried on the larger size I realized that the first pair was the right size and just needed to be broken in. Now that I've had and worn them for a couple months they feel great (it took a couple weeks of light use to break in) and I love them. I've worn them for extended walking around town in mid-50 degree temperatures and the tread is good for winter snow and ice. My only small complaint, and it's probably not a fair one, is that my big toe does ride against the front of the boot a bit going down hill. I'm used to wearing hiking or running shoes with a more secure fit and the slip on nature of the boot prevents this from happening but I wouldn't give up the easy on/off nature of the boot.

It's also a nice looking boot and I've gotten several compliments on them - something that doesn't happen with any of my other shoes (perhaps that says something about my shoe collection...). At any rate, they're a great pair of boots and I recommend them with the advice that there is a break in period before they really feel good.

Just received these boots and they have become my favorite overnight. I'm not typically a boot wearer but love these. Easy to slip in and out of, very comfortable and cushioning. Comes with an additional insole to help "customize" the fit if you prefer a slightly snugger fit. I added the insole for the extra cushion. No real break in for me - I just slipped them on and off I went. I have tried a similar style from Ariat but am finding these to be much more comfortable, more cushion and just a nicer boot. Fitting true to size, and plenty of room width wise.

Have read some reviews on other sites that suggest there is a problem w/ the heels crumbling. But in every case, the review says (a) they wore the boot infrequently and (b) Blundstone customer service replaced the boot. It's a natural rubber sole so it might be a little more fragile - but figured I would take a flyer - and I'm glad I did.

Boots look great w/ khakis (my normal wear) in a business casual environment but look equally great w/ blue jeans.

Love these so much, I'm ordering a pair in black after the dust clears from Christmas. I'm a convert!

I purchase these Blundstone 550 every two years for my husband for Christmas. He wears these shoes out as he is a farmer and wears them non stop. They are the best boots ever and if you keep them oiled they will last even longer. Quality exceptional, shipping was fast. I am pleased with my purchase and the price was great with the extra savings I got.

I've always wanted a pair of Blundstone slip on boots but could never afford them. I owned a pair of Keen slip ons which I wore the soles off of working on our farm. I do a Farmers market in the Summer time and was able to save up enough this year to purchase a pair. I used the print out on the Blundstone Website to size my foot. I wear a women's USA size 12. The sizing chart suggested a Men's USA size 10.5.They arrived and they fit perfectly. They came with a protectant which I applied and let set for a day before I brushed the boots to a shine. That shine was off in the first half hour of wear in the dust and dirt. I wear them daily as a work boot. I've had them about a month and I hope they last the 15 years my neighbor has owned his. I wear them with shorts, capri's and jeans and have received several compliments on their looks and style.

excellent fit. run a touch small in length. very comfortable for walking and standing.

the boot feels very solid yet lightweight

I've owned a pair for 8 years and I love them. They are roomy for a wide foot and keep your feet dry and comfortable when working in the muck. My husband wears his more for around town and his only comment was that with a high instep pulling them on took a little doing. I found that after several wearings it became easier and he agrees with me now!
