Editorial Reviews

From the Author

First thank you so much to everyone who's read the Blurred Lines series and expressed their love of the story. Your comments have meant the world to me.
For those who may be checking it out for the first time, I hope you'll give the series a try.
The way I write this series is like a TV series. I actually call Blurred Lines: Must READ TV. Each volume is the equivalent to a 30 minute/1 hour show. All eight volumes are now available. Thanks again for reading.

From the Inside Flap

John turns and smiles, flashing a dimple in his right cheek. I can't get over how hot he is. My knees weaken of their own volition and I curse myself. Gorgeous doesn't mean good. He could be a total asshole.
"Everything's taken care of. My only rule is you must always wear a condom." The way he looks at me, like I'm a new and exotic bird, makes me nervous. But no matter what, I can't break that rule. "Is that acceptable?" I hold my breath, waiting. Hoping, even.
He steps forward. "Works for me. Do you mind if I shower first, um... what's your name?"
When I first started this whole prostitute thing I debated going with different names with every guy, and I usually do. Just whatever name that comes to mind. But when John asks, the only name that comes to mind is my own.
"Cadence," I blurt, and blush.
He steps forward and I realize he's still a head taller than me, even with my seven-inch heels. I glance up.
"You're John, right?"
He chuckles warmly. "That's me."
"Awesome," I say and breathe. John seems really nice.
"I'm going to shower now. Make yourself at home. There's wine and cheese on the table over there." He points toward a wall, but it isn't a wall at all. It's windows. The curtains are open and I can see the glow of the lights from the city.
John turns away and walks through a set of double doors.
"Okay," I respond. It's strange that he seems nice. And I can't help but wonder where the catch is. Fileze wouldn't have made this easy on me.
I check my phone. There's another text from Fileze: You there yet?
I quickly text back: Yeah. Gonna sign off for the night. Don't worry. I'll take good care of him.
Once my phone is off, I set down my purse and walk to the window. The view is kick ass beautiful. Dark sky against the bright city lights. It's amazing and takes my breath away. I stare at the scenery, lost in my thoughts. Then notice the cheese platter. I take a piece and chew slowly. It's good. Creamy.
It seems like John has been in the shower for a long time. I walk to the entrance of the bedroom. There's a king-sized bed with luxurious bedding and pillows covering it. The water from the shower is still running and I make a decision.
Running back into the living room, I grab my purse. Then I kick off my shoes and unzip my dress, sliding out of it. I walk into the bathroom feeling bold. This is my last night as the bitch to Fileze the Sleaze. I'm going to rock this guy so hard there won't be any excuses.
I gently open the door. It's steamy. The mirrors and the glass on the shower door fogged over. I place my purse on the counter and walk over to the shower. I can see his head. His blond hair darkened by water. I pull the door open. He turns my direction and his blue eyes slowly drink me in.
"Mind if I join you?" I wait, suddenly shy for him to agree, wondering if he'd rather have some privacy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A hot & steamy must read!! September 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The blurred lines series are a must read! Someone else described it as Pretty Woman meets 50 Shades of Grey. I can't think of a better way to describe it. The only negative thing I have to say about it is having to wait for the next volume to be released. A lot of the books of this genre are very predictable & very similar. Blurred Lines breaks the mold! Would highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys erotic romance.

Not bad, but I am tired of novellas being strung out and forcing you to keep paying if you want to find out what happens. Unfortunately, I paid for the first 5 or 6 of these books, but by the time the latest installment came out (Twisted Lines, whichever number that is), I'd lost interest and the wait cooled my desire to keep paying for the next little tidbit of the story. The story of the low rent prostitute who manages to captivate a leading man AND a rich studio head into her orbit is too unbelievable for anyone to believe. The sex was pretty good, but the story and the lack of real writing ability keep this series on the lower end of the spectrum.

5.0 out of 5 stars Aaahhhh!!! September 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am in love with 2 men now!! And not even sure if either of them are the good guy or what!!??? I freaking loved this series. The way Breena takes an experienced girl and yet she's so new to love and relationships. It's so new and unusual in the way it keeps twisting. And now I HAVE to get the next book!!
LOL. I have to know what happens to them all.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ending ruined the entire series! March 29, 2014

Completely unbelievable. Volumes 1-7 were fantastic! I thought I'd found a new series to share with all my friends who love reading this genre of books. Then, Volume 8. Where do I begin? Its like the author had no idea how to wrap up the story and just picked the most unbelievable, crazy, shocking way to do it. I simply can't believe this is what she had planned from the beginning - because it just made ZERO sense. What a copout! I overlooked a lot of things that were just a little "off" in lieu of the interesting characters, hot sex scenes, etc., thinking it was at least going to have a nice, sensible ending. But I was plain wrong! I also don't like books released in volumes and would never have read it except they were bundled. I could have even overlooked this if it had been worth it.

****MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS****

My main problem was if Zane was convinced Cruze killed his wife, would he actually let the woman he loves spend any time at all with him?? And not only spend time with him, when he left her, he left Cruze's phone number? Silly and makes the entire story not credible.

So much is alluded to about Zane's family and some "big" crime he committed where the cops were looking for him. Why did he even leave town to begin with? Why did he run? This is never even mentioned again - and never explained. What the heck? It makes zero sense. There were characters who were mentioned but never expanded on?!

While I feel the author has definite talent, something seems to have happened that makes me feel like she just gave up & tried to rush the ending or something. I wish I knew. Not sure if I'd ever read anything by her again. What wasted potential! Where are the editors who point things like this out to upcoming authors?? How this has so many 5 star ratings is just beyond me. It must not take much to entertain these days, is the only thing I can think of.

5.0 out of 5 stars Explosive October 13, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Candace is a prostitute finally breaking away from her pimp. She is independent, a survivor, and brutally honest. Before she finishes her last job she encounters two men with the same name. This moment has her on a new journey under the thumb of her alpha male. In all, this series is a page turner, erotic, and just plain good.
