A Simply Cute Tale!,
By Nancy Compton (Boise, Idaho) - See all my reviews

1886 Sierra Nevada Range, California
THE BLUSHING BRIDE is a light, easy and simple story of love discovered between two independent business-minded people on a mountain in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. One is the owner of Kruger Brother's Lumber and Milling Company and the other is owner of Becoming Brides Matrimonial Service. Jason Kruger doesn't want women on his mountain and Amanda Pierce is determined to provide the loggers with perfect wives! If you're looking for an undemanding carefree read, you'll enjoy this one.

A Downright Pity,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Blushing Bride (Historical, 521) (Paperback)
Has anyone realized--after reading this book, that the heroine never actually gets married? Since when is she the blushing bride? Still, the book was very informative although the plot was not portrayed true to the time period.

unlikeable leads......,
This review is from: Blushing Bride (Historical, 521) (Paperback)
Synopsis:
The last thing Jason Kruger needed was a city woman and her catalog of love! He ran a lumber camp, not a lonely hearts club. But Amanda Pierce, matchmaker extraordinaire, offered wedded bliss to his crew ...and made him crave a life he never dreamed he'd desire! How on earth had Amanda found herself at loggerheads with a high timber man wearing a mountain-size attitude? If Jason Kruger hadn't written requesting a mail-order bride, who had? And if he truly didn't want her in his life, why was he trying so hard not to get rid of her? My Review: short and sweet-the hero was a jerk and a bully and the heroine was way too flighty and "too stupid to live" for the storyline and the time period-not recommended. Quit it about 125 pages in. 1 star.
