This book is perfect for a child. It is easy to read and is very creatively written in crayon, as to imply that the dog is still just a child too. Very cute! Will make a great educational yet fun gift for any child, and it even has some fun "Draw/Trace Bo" pages and coloring pages at the end.

The book has to be read to be appreciated for how great it is. I showed my mother this book and she wanted to give one to all her friends! The pictures (all real photos, not fake drawings) and crayon writing ("Bo's" handwriting) are delightful. It's cuter than a Barney video (White House dog of the W. Bush years) and charming for all ages. This book transcends all political views and has some lovely pictures of Bo at play with his family and is mildly educational and interactive, with color-in pictures in the back. Once you read it, you'll want to give more to you friends and family!

This gives the reader a humorous and entertaining view of the first dog. It is especially enticing in that it includes a tracing page as well as coloring pages for children to get the maximum pleasure out of the product.

Mostly a picture book, but being a PWD owner and breeder for 20+ years, I love it (particularly the cover shot, which tried in vain to purchase via AP!); it's a good book for small children when I do therapy dog visits.
