My only complaint is that the frame was cracked when we received it.

The frame and backing of the cork board of very strong especially in comparison with most of the junk that is sold at the big box office supply chains.

Given the size, quality, and look of this board, I'd say it's a great deal for what it costs.

I ordered two of these boards, and am satisfied with their quality. The frames are actually heavier than I thought they would be, which I take to be a sign of quality. The cork itself appears to be thick enough to hold up to a good amount of use. The mounting hardware these boards come with, though, is ridiculous. Board Dudes give you tiny screws and hooks, which the instructions say to put on the sides of the frame (not the top). I didn't bother with the tiny screws, because they did not look like they would support the frame well. Instead, I drilled holes through the frame's sides and hung them on the wall using screws and wall anchors. They look very handsome on the wall.

Solid, sturdy, well-built and clean looking bulletin board. The strong backing makes the board very sturdy and durable. The wood (veneer, I think) frame is well-built (corners come together flush, etc) and looks nice. Given the size, quality, and look of this board, I'd say it's a great deal for what it costs.

I could not have been happier with this bulletin board. Well built, well priced, I loved the hanging brackets that came with it. Double packaged and in excellent condition when it arrived. I would order this again and would refer it to my friends.

The thumb tacks go RIGHT THROUGH the board. This is a problem for two reasons: 1) the tacks don't really stay in very well. 2) the tacks are scratching the wall behind the cork board.

The mounting sent was frustrating because you had to put it together yourself and it split the side so I had to find another way to attach the board to the wall.

In short it is a total piece of junk.

It is too bad because it doesn't look bad.

The product itself would have been perfect for my purposes and for the price. However, it was only put in cardboard without any interior bracing or packaging and therefore it was cracked when it arrived, not just a little crack, but straight down the middle. Very disappointing,...several other reviewers seemed to have the same experience.

First, the item itself arrived in perfect condition and is just fine for my needs and for a great price to boot. Please note that the description reads "Oak Style Frame". It does not say "frame made of Oak" and it certainly is not. It appears to be man made veneer that covers the frame to give the appearance of wood grain. Upon close inspection you can see that it is not wood. However, who stands around inspecting the frame of cork boards? Most people probable wouldn't even notice. If you insist on your cork board having a frame made from real wood, this is not the product for you. Also for "made in USA" purists, the item is made in China.

===> In regard to the comments on shipping damage: The box for the item was placed within a larger box which was very damaged upon arrival. Again, the item itself was free from any damage. A smaller/more narrow outer box and shipping material in the excess space would likely do the trick.

This is a particle board with a very thin (1mm or less) veneer of cork on it. If you pull a pin out of it, it takes the veneer with it. Tacks frequently bend when you push them into the particle board.

This is for my son putting up his school work. One of the frame corners was not flush and the board had a small hole in it(which is not a huge problem for a bulletin board). I would have given it 5 stars for the price had it not shown up with some quality control issues. BTW: install it the recommended way, by drilling some hole through the board. Took me less than 5 minutes to install. Just make sure you drill once through the board into the wall with a 5/16 or so, then put the board down and drill with a larger bit to set the wall anchors.
