I think the title of this book was a bit misleading. I thought this would be an office romance. Instead, the hero and heroine do not work together, and actually have a past history. Years ago, while they were both in college, they had a whirlwind courtship and a quickie marriage in Vegas. After less than a week, they ended up getting divorced, convinced they'd made a mistake. Years later, a charity picnic throws them back together, and they start to wonder if maybe their relationship could have worked if they'd given it more of a chance.

I bought this book because I'm a fan of Shirley Jump. And she did not let me down. This was a sweet, touching story of reunited love between estranged spouses. (I rate this book as "sweet" as there are no explicit sex scenes. Sex is alluded to, but it all happens off-camera.)

The reasons for their breakup were more than just one big stupid misunderstanding. There were real relationship issues for them to work through. I also liked that the characters were able to actually talk things out. That's rare to find in a romance, especially a Harlequin. They also didn't bicker like children. Instead, this was about both of them learning to trust and open up to one another. I recommend it.

i've recently discovered Shirley Jump and thoroughly love her books. her stories are wonderful and tender that you can't help but fall in love with her characters. i cannot wait for her next book!!!!
