About the Author

Barbaranne Boyer was born in St. Helen's, England and came to Canada at an early age with her English mother and Canadian father. 5.0 out of 5 stars A tribute to a bygone era, September 12, 2004
This review is from: The Boardwalk Album: Memories of the Beach (Paperback)
A short but well-written account of a bygone era, when people by the thousands would each summer flock to The Beach district of Toronto. The book deals with the specific parks that came and went, as well as a few landmarks of the area. Included are numerous photos. Although the book is fairly thin, the author's intent to convey the spirit of this unique time and place is very much a success. A great book.
