Review
A must for Great Lakes boaters, this book is like having your very own port captain traveling with you to help, advise and educate you at every port. Lake Erie's shallow waters can easily wreak havoc on the unwary, so having this local knowledge at your fingertips can make your cruise much more enjoyable and certainly safer. --
THE ENSIGN, January 1996This book covers every port-of-call in Lake Erie from Vermilion west including Michigan, Canada and the Islands. Also included is a brief history of each area. It's design and format make it easy to use. --

About the Author
William and Mary Gordon published their first cruising guide in 1984. Their ERIE ISLANDS CRUISING GUIDE was reprinted many times and became very popular with boaters and other visitors to the Erie Islands. In this, their latest book, they have expanded their area of coverage to include all of Western Lake Erie. Their historical sketches on each location are particularly interesting. Mr. Gordon's aerial photographs and Mrs. Gordon's excellent charts make it easy for boaters to locate the facilities they need and the places they wish to visit. Mr. Gordon, a 1972 graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography, and his wife Mary, are members of the United States Power Squadrons and the Great Lakes Historical Society. Their photos and articles have appeared in many boating publications over the years. They own and operate Photomaker Studios in Port Clinton, Ohio.
