Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover

Are you intimidated by the prospect of installing, repairing, modifying, or replacing the wood accents that make your fiberglass boat more functional and distinctive? You needn't be. Simple, abundantly illustrated, and clearly written, here are the instructions you need to replace toerails and hatch boards; install handrails; repair coamings; build wooden racks, boxes, and shelving; or tackle just about any other woodworking project above or below deck.

About the Author

Garth Graves has been a woodworker for over 40 years. He's spent more than 25 of those years designing and building projects for boats, including his own 27-foot wooden sloop, Sea-Fever, and has contributed time to building a well-known tall ship, the replica revenue cutter California. He is the author of Yacht Craftsman's Handbook: 50 Woodworking Projects and has written articles for Fine Woodworking, WoodenBoat, Popular Mechanics, and Better Homes & Gardens.

This review is from: Boatowner's Weekend Woodworking (Hardcover)
Keep with Don Casey. This book was useless. There were no specific projects that were detailed from start to finish. There was one page about screw types which was heplful, but very basic. If you have ever done any work on your boat, you won't need or want this book. If you want to start to do some work, find another book, this won't help at all.
