My 22-month old grandson is captivated by Bob the Builder. At this point, he only focuses on the cute recurring characters, the talking construction vehicles, and the colorful and nicely animated stories. He never gets tired of watching it. (I'm the one who got this video because I'm practically able to recite the other one he has.)

But, although it's beyond his current comprehension, these are stories of good people behaving responsibly and considerately. They are presented in an entertaining and non-preachy manner, and the color, audio, and animation are beautifully rendered and nicely paced.

I should be jealous that my grandson learned to say "Bob" before "Grandma," but I'm so pleased with these videos that I don't mind.

Bob the Builder's indomitable can-do attitude has inspired countless young viewers. "The Best of Bob the Builder" is a compilation of some of the best adventures of Bob and his machines, which serve as both his tools and his best friends. With bonus features of never before seen stories, and DVD games, "The Best of Bob the Builder" is a fine pick for any young viewer who can't get enough of Bob.

its not British/Australian (sorry, whatever the original was). I find the much beloved characters in this version irritating and dumb. My son LOVES Bob the Builder, and he has noticed its not the same. Nothing against American-izing things, but I wish this were the original. Even the theme song sounds different, and dumbed-down musically speaking. It'll get us through a subway ride, but ugh. Moving onto gabba gabba. I tell my son that Bob went 'night night.'

We were shocked that some of the episodes feature different actors (and therefore different voices) for most of the characters. My 2 year old was really put-off by the change in Bob's voice especially. Also, some of the episodes feature Spud as a very mischievous (and somewhat scary) character. We simply don't watch those episodes now. The DVD includes 10 episodes so we still have plenty to watch even though we skip the 3 or so episodes that have older voices.

Aidan has not seen too Bob the Builder and this DVD really was a great introduction to some Bob favorites. He really enjoyed watching Bob and his friends build and work together and he get's really excited when he hears "Can we build it?" I thought the DVD was adorable and I especially love that it is 140 minutes of Bob-filled fun! I don't even think we have made it through the whole DVD yet as Aidan always want to start from the beginning! This DVD is also an exceptional value of about $15! I think it would be great for both new and old Bob lovers!

The music is great and both my children enjoy watching Bob the Builder. The stories are a little out there especially with talking machinery but for kids I'm sure it's entertaining.

We recently had a snow day (one of many as we live in Michigan).I was babysitting my 3 yr. grandson and he was getting a little bored. I pulled a collection of Bob the Builder up on the computer and thought maybe Aaron would be entertained for an hour or so. I was pleasantly surprised when Aaron watched Bob most of the afternoon. I would recommend this for small children and the parents/grandparents who love them.

Very disappointing because it is mostly the American versions where Bob has a political agenda and Wendy has cropped her hair because, um, I don't know. Much too contrived to be enjoyed - ugh.

Great safe and sane content to show to young boys. Girls may like too, but for a claymation series without any religious undertones, it's a nice show
