Child Juror Comments: I liked this movie because it tells you not to be afraid because there’s no such things as monsters. It looks really good because they don’t mess up the cartoon. They are nice to each other. When one machine wants to build something, the other machines tell him to watch and learn, and they are nice to him. My favorite part is when Lofty thinks that the water makes it so that you fall apart if it touches you - so he was afraid of it. He went into the water by accident and learned that if you go into the water, you don’t fall apart. I think my friends would like this because they like big machines.

As always Bob has won us over with his newest DVD. First off, I must say I love the new CGI Animation that is used because it really makes the episodes bright, colorful, and more like regular animation. Bob and his team work together to start and finish projects and there are some wonderful themes within the episodes. I love how Bob is wholesome and yet not cheesy. My sons love the trucks and how each one has its own talent. This DVD also features Scratch who is a new character! This is definitely a great DVD whether your child loves Bob the Builder or just loves trucks in general!

Our son, who is 2 1/2 yrs old, loves this DVD. In fact he wouldn't watch the non-CGI versions after seeing it. That's no good from our point of view since we had TIVO'd a bunch of episodes from 2006. Oh well...

We are new to the Bob the Builder movies. Our friends gave us this movie and my 20-month-old LOVES it! He continuously asks me to sing the Bob the Builder theme song; and we recite tons of lines from the movie. My son is a HUGE truck fan, so that definitely factors into the equation. I like the fact that there are nice little lessons in each show and that good character traits always prevail. Since we liked this one so much, we bought some of the earlier Bob movies. IMO, they are not as good. The trucks aren't always that supportive of each other (even mocking each other at times) and they don't even all end with a "good character shines through" ending. (In one, a garden statue is broken when Muck and Dizzy are messing around and even Wendy does not fess up and make things right with the owner. Instead, they make up an excuse for why the statue looks different. Disappointing!) So...to make a long review longer...if you are only going to buy ONE Bob movie, definitely make it this one! It's great!
