5.0 out of 5 stars Very Funny
I found this to be one of the funnier books I've read in a long time. Also check out "Bob Cobb's Bill Clinton Bartender's Guide" too. I think there's only one or two drinks duplicated between the two, out of maybe 150+. This was certainly a great idea for a series of political satire. When you think about it, sound-bites "sound" a lot like mixed drinks. I would...

1.0 out of 5 stars Tired of mopping
As a former school librarian nee spokesmodel for chandelier necklaces and pinata dresses I can say that this book is wearing me out.

My husband is trying to beat our college-age children to the end of the book, and I'm tired of mopping up the bathroom late at night so the hired help don't see the mess. Believe me, the second time around, these drinks lose their appeal...

5.0 out of 5 stars Entrepreneurism At Its Best, April 1, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Bob Cobb's Dittohead Bartender's Guide (Paperback)
What a great idea for a book series. I saw this in the "Limbaugh Library" under Rush's recommended reading list for all members of the Limbaugh Institute For Advanced Conservative Studies, and I had to try it out! If you love the show (i.e. are a dittohead), then you will find this to be one of the most entertaining books you've ever gotten your hands on. With adult beverages like "Affluenza Aphrodisiac" and "Puff The Magic Daschle", you won't be able to get enough!!! From beginning to end, this book cleary illustrates the ingenuity and good humor of Rush's audience. As I read about it in NewsMax magazine, "created for dittoheads by a dittohead, and not by an 'art & croissants crowd-type' publishing executive", you can't not love this book if you love EIB...

5.0 out of 5 stars On The Money, April 21, 2001

Rush was right yet again, this is very funny stuff and very original too. Some of it goes back to the golden days of Limbaugh, when America wore deficit spending awareness ribbons and spotted-owls were today's equivalent of the Alaskan wildlife refuge. Whether or not adult beverages are on your menu, all dittoheads should give this book a thorough scan for the humor and nostalgia that it engenders. I especially like "Long-Haired, Maggot-Infested, Dope-Smoking Peace ..." - that goes back a way too!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic In The Making, March 10, 2001

This book is the bomb (if you're a Rush fan, anyway). From the early days to the present, this book is Limbaugh in a nutshell. All my conservative friends are getting this as a birthday present if they don't have it already. If you love EIB, you can't go wrong with this!

5.0 out of 5 stars "GREAT", March 12, 2001
By A Customer
"In addition to being one of the funniest and most original products I've seen in a long time, the drinks in this thing are actually good. I give credit to the author for creating recipes that actually make this a real bartender's guide. If you happen to have a wet-bar in your house and love Rush, then this is a must have. A great idea for entertaining guests, and at worst, a priceless conversation piece for parties and the "coffee table". Five stars, all the way!"

5.0 out of 5 stars A Less Serious Side, March 18, 2001
By
What a wonderful change of pace concerning the politics that can be not so easy to laugh at in real life. I'm glad this book was published just so we can have some more of the humor often injected into our political culture by Rush himself. We need more political-minded people to add a bit of satire every once and a while (but not the left-slanted type). Politicians can wield some very tough words sometimes, but this book puts the whole thing in perspective: just laugh it off!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Limbaugh Lexicon, May 16, 2001
By A Customer
What a brilliant and clever idea for a book. If it were possible to give a book ten stars, that's what I would give this book. For all those students of the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies out there, this is required reading for brushing up on your Limbaugh vocabulary. The "adult beverage" recipes are real, and named after various things heard on the show since its inception. "Almond ACLU" and "Affirmative Action Ambrosia" are a couple of examples. My personal favorite is the "Reagan Reminder". Far too many Americans are in need of that one! If you're a bona-fide dittohead, then you owe it to yourself not to miss this.

5.0 out of 5 stars What an awesome book!, June 25, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Bob Cobb's Dittohead Bartender's Guide (Paperback)
If you're into Rush Limbaugh, this book is your dream come true! Of course, only a dittohead could make sense of it with "adult beverage" recipes that use terminology like femninazi, Puff Daschle, restless legs syndrome, uglo-american, caller abortion, linguine-spined listener, quarter-lifers, Spike the Lobster, etc. Recommended on Rush's website, you won't be disappointed by this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't live without this..., October 29, 2001
By A Customer
As a college coed whose father happens to be the appointed President of the United States, life can be just one big pressure cooker. That's why I love this book. I try and use at least one recipe every night, and at least a dozen on Saturday night. The best part is, I can make these in my dorm without having to show any ID. I just give a list of ingredients to one of my Secret Service dudes, and they do the rest. Is that cool, or what? When I'm at my parent's summer house in Crawford I like to make up a pitcher of Red Zombie Paralyzing Potion and head off to my special Black Light Freakout Room that my dad had built just for me. Talk about a lost weekend!

My sister, Barbara (she's the one whose not as pretty as me), and I are having a race to see who can get to the very last drink first. She's a little ahead of me now, but that's only because I'm more prone to blackouts than her.

Party on, America...!
