This is a great book for anyone interested in the cattle business, Texas history, or the politics of big business in the middle of this century. One need not be a rancher or cattleman to enjoy this book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone from any background.

As TX Rancher this is one of the BEST books on Bob Kleberg and one of the

most famous ranches in the state. Have been on this

ranch numerous times, great book. Ranching

takes work and dedication

If you have an interest in the King Ranch, you should read this book.

I ordered this for my dad and he said he found it very interesting. He likes books about real people and events.

Interesting account of the King Ranch under the direction of Bob Kleberg. John Cypher worked for Kleberg for a number of years and he provides a well-written and even-handed history of the times and an evaluation of the man who was Mr. King Ranch for a number of years. The book provides insight on Kleberg's goals and direction for the ranch and how Kleberg operated on the ranch as well as the east coast and internationally.
