A Whale of a Fish Story, and Hold the Calamari, Please,
By
This review is from: Bob, or Man on Boat: A Novel (Paperback)
One of the best fish fictions I have read in a while, added to the List of Great Fishy Swim Literature: The Book of Jonah, Moby-Dick, Trout Fishing in America, Luchessi and the Whale, The Old Man and the Sea, and a variety of Raymond Caver stories and poems that deal with fish. What is it with fish and American letters? Recommended for all who love fish in their fiction and kitchen.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I'm not going to try very hard at describing the way it was written, but it worked for me and for this story, in my opinion. The flow, repetition, sparseness, and vagueness at times all contributed to the overall story. It was nicely done.
