Product Description

Boba is a Soft Structured baby carrier (SSC) that is intended for children between 15 to 45 lbs. Boba has a few extra inches of height to keep your center of gravity closer to your body and support your little one's back. The innovative thing about the Boba carrier is that there are foot straps attached to the waist belt for the child's feet to sit in enabling a healthy sitting position for the child. The footstraps not only give little tired legs a rest, but support the legs in a flexed abducted (froglike) position which naturally tilts the pelvis, fills out the hip sockets, and aligns the spine.

The quality of the product is excellent, and the Soho fabric is in bright colors and very soft to touch.

I am SO happy with this purchase! I have used the Boba with my 8 month old as well as with my 3 1/2 year old and it works wonderfully with both. It is very easy to use, I can use it, by myself, front or back with both children. The only difficulty is attaching the hood when my baby falls asleep on my back. The belt is wide and distributes the weight wonderfully. The carrier is about 2 inches taller than the Ergo, so it will last longer as the kids grow. You can store the hood tidily so you don't look so frumpy with all the strings and things hanging around as with the Ergo. I would reccomend the Boba carrier to any parents.

Love this carrier! It's super comfortable and so much quicker to get into and out of than the wrap I was using before. My 7 month old who is not a snuggler at all, just cuddles right in and sleeps on me when we're out running errands. It distributes his weight all across my back and hips making it easy to carry him for hours with no discomfort. My 40 pound three-year-old also fits comfortably in the carrier on my back. I also appreciate that Boba is made in the USA, unlike Ergo which is made in China, and the design is much more attractive.

This has been a godsend. My 12month old loves this carrier. It allows me to get things done and spend all day holding the baby. This has more adjustments then any of my other carriers. I have several carriers and this is the one I can wear the longest and put on the easiest. I have the Rei carrier, several front packs, babybjorn, some wraps, ect ect. This finally has what he and I both need in one carrier. It is so cute and fun to wear shopping.

I'm extremely happy with my Boba carrier. My daughter is 21 months old, 22 pounds & 31" tall. Before I got my boba last month I had a Classic Ergo that I lost. I was very unhappy because I loved that carrier too. I was gonna go with an Ergo again so I tried the Sport because the regular Ergo is a bit warm & bulky. Wasn't crazy with that Sport with a back carry (straps got twisted because of its design) but loved it with a front carry...but I'm not reviewing the Ergo Sport :)
The Boba's look is so nice. I started doing the back carry all the time now & I'm so in love. I've read other users complain about the straps rubbing their inner arms but I haven't really noticed that. I think I might've felt what they're talking about when doing the front carry but nothing painful. It took me a few tries to feel comfortable with doing the back carry & using the Boba but I caught on quick. I don't know how people do things without baby wearing. My only complaint is I wish the straps were padding up a bit further. The padding is on my shoulders but I can feel where is ends against my chest (not painful at all, even after extended wear, it's just I think it would be much more comfy if it did).
I would definitely buy this carrier again if I had to!

I just had my baby girl 8 weeks ago and I also have a 2 year old. I could not live without this. It makes it possible for me to go grocery shopping, play outside with my son, clean, fold laundry... pretty much do everything. I have a bad back to begin with and I have worn this for over 2 hours straight and my back feels pretty good. I started using it when my daughter was 12lbs and it was fine. No chaffing for her or me. It's so easy to put on and take off. You can adjust the straps while wearing it and it's pretty cute too. I paid full price and I'm considering buying another one to keep at grandma's. When my daughter is fussy I put her in it and she falls right asleep. I highly recommend this.

Maybe I'm strange, but when I carry my 8-month old son in it, the back strap is almost impossible for me to adjust, which makes the shoulder straps nearly hang off my shoulders. It's really annoying. I don't see how people do this by themselves all the time, let alone throwing their kid on their back. My wife loves it, but I feel like the shoulder straps are too wide. I do love the belt around the waist; it makes it very comfortable to carry a child and takes a lot of the stress of the shoulders. I haven't found the little hoodie to be terribly effective since my son usually still looks out. I think he's fallen asleep in it once. Compared to the Baby K'tan which he'll fall asleep in any time he's tired. We also have a PPB carrier, which is OK. It doesn't offer the support that the Boba carrier does, but I do like how they can face outward.

Originally, I thought I wanted an Ergo. After doing some research online, I decided to go with the Boba, and I have not been disappointed. I purchased the Boba in "Tweet" here on amazon. I am a nanny for three little kids, the youngest of the kids is an 8-month-old boy. I carry the two-year-old girl on my back in the Boba and hardly feel like I am carrying any weight, and she loves it. When I put her brother in the Boba on my front, she almost always asks if she can ride in it instead. The baby loves it. He has pretty bad eczema and he has a hard time with certain fabrics. I made a liner for my carrier out of a hand towel and made some strap pads out of another hand towel because the Boba can't be machine washed (BUMMER!) and he often is coated in creams to soothe the rash. He loves being held, and he loves the Boba. He sits comfortably in it and can still see what is going on. He falls asleep in it too, and I pull out the sleeping hood, which holds his head forward against my chest and blocks the light. Once he is asleep, I can easily transfer him to the crib by unclipping the "chest strap" at my shoulders, and pulling off one shoulder strap at a time while supporting the baby, and then the Boba hangs from my waist as I lay him down. I do wish there was a small storage pocket of some kind on the Boba, and I wish it were machine washable. Also, I love the idea of an organic carrier made in the USA, but the organic ones are not very pretty (in my opinion) so I went with the pretty carrier instead of the organic one. I like the fact that the ends of the straps don't dangle down, they can be rolled up and secured with elastics. I highly recommend the Boba!!
