About the Author

Lee Maracle has an impressive list of fiction and autobiographical titles which include: I am Woman, Ravensong, Sundogs and Sojourner's Truth. Lee Maracle was one of the first Aboriginal people to be published in the early 1970s. She has since become the most prolific Aboriginal author in Canada and a recognised authority on issues pertaining to Aboriginal people and Aboriginal literature. She presently resides in Barrie, Ontario, where she works at the Barrie Native Friendship Center and teaches sessional courses at the University of Toronto.
