5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality thread, needs to be used with cone thread holder on a regular sewing machine
Embroidery bobbin thread from Threadart is a good quality thread. It is quite strong while being thin (60wt). It works well as a bobbin thread. I also use it when I hem pants/skirts, because it is thin it is practically invisible, and being strong is a big plus there too.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good top thread but Brother SE400 does not approve
I'm dabbling in machine embroidery with my first embroidery capable machine, but I've been sewing for twenty-plus years. With a new machine, I follow the manual closely until I know the basic functions. I've spent the last two weeks having a strange bobbin winding issue -- in some cases, the bobbin will become stuck on the bobbin winding pin, so stiffly that I have no...

The 5000m spool is large, and it will not fit on the regular sewing machine spool. However, it works very well with a cone thread holder Dritz(R) Cone Thread Holder. I am attaching two photos, one this thread next to the regular size Sulky spool for size comparison, and the second one this thread on the cone thread holder.

Bought a spool of this to use with a new Brother LB6800PRW Computerized Embroidery and Sewing Machine that I also bought. I was able to fill 60 bobbins with one spool. I have used 11 of the bobbins so far, and have had no thread breaks or jams in the machine due to this bobbin thread. The thread is glossy and smooth; it does not 'catch' the top thread, it glides so the back of the design looks as clean as the top.

The picture shows 2 spools, but you get one, like the description says. Slightly misleading, but I knew exactly what I was getting. I would recommend this thread.

I bought this because I like to buy bobbin thread in the larger spools because I use so much of it embroidering. This is a smooth momofilament that leaves no lint in the bobbin case area. It is strong too so it doesn't break easily. I have been real happy with it.

Thread is great. Although I guess I was unaware that the spools are more the size for commercial machines. I'm getting buy and I still love the tread even if I do have to wined it on to a smaller spool so I can sew with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works in my machine, January 31, 2012
This review is from: Bobbin Thread - 60wt White - By Threadart
I bought this thread along with some empty bobbins for my Brother SE270D embroidery / sewing machine. These items added to another item totaled enough to qualify for free shipping. As another reveiwer mentioned, I was buying a spool of approximately 1/5 the amount of Brother brand bobbin thread for twice the price of this. With that in mind, I decided to give this a try. If I couldn't use it in my machine, lesson learned and I'm out $6.00..........but if it worked, I can save alot of money during the life of this machine. I was happy to find that it worked great in my machine. As a note, after reading many responses regarding bobbin thread and machines on an embroidery forum to which I belong, it seems that each machine is different. People can own the same make and model of machine, try the same brand of bobbin thread, and get very different results. So while I can't say it will work with every Brother embroidery machine, I have used it on numerous embroidery projects in the last several months and have not had a single problem. When I finally run out of this thread, which should be quite a while, I will be back to buy again.

This is terrible bobbin thread, DO NOT waste your money on this. I did a simple design on my Janome, and the bobbin was coming through the design. I'm sending mine back, and will never by from Threadart again......

I had been buying name brand bobbin thread at $11.00 per 1100 m roll! Wow talk about expensive! With this Bobbin thread I can get soooo much more for less than half the price! What a value! I have no problems with it working in my Brother LB 6800 embroidery machine! I am hooked!!
