Bobby and the Big Blue Bulldog,

I'm a literacy specialist and work with many children who struggle with the sheer quantity of words when shifting from picture books to chapter books. While this book is not a great piece of literature, it is one of the best books I've used to help children make this transition. Kids love the story, the words, language and print are natural and easy. Some of these reluctant readers read it over and over and over.
