This book was like a bunch of magazine and newspaper articles put together. I am huge Bobby Brown fan, and found this book a waste.
The pictures were poor and the captions underneath them were all wrong.
These could not have been Bobby's personal collection, if so they were sorry.
Derrick you really need to get some help with your editing. You went from first person to third person too many times. You also need to learn a little bit more about the Bobby and New Edition before you try and write a book about them.
Derrick I know you had to make changes to the book, but you could have kept this book.
I could have wrote this book after talking with a few friends of Bobby's.
Derrick you said you spent a year interviewing Bobby, well that was a waste of Bobby's time.

and now I see that its even cheaper, on sale. I guess they sold enough to lower the price. If I have anything to do with it I will tell all of my friends not to buy this book.

This book is just a start for the author. It's overpriced for one thing, fancy pages or not - and it's quite a bit like a long magazine article.

I love biographies and memoirs but this book was horrible. I learned more about Bobby watching his show. To add insult to injury, the quality of the pics inside was embarrassing. What a waste...

The "most controversial book of the year"???? Really Derrick?? This book was written on a 3rd grader's level with the WORST editing I've ever seen. This book does not offer anything new to its readers. I was very disappointed that this was the end result after all the hype. I don't blame Bobby for backing out of this hand shake deal. He probably saw that it was going to be poor quality and wanted nothing to do with it. I hate that I wasted money on this, but I guess I should have read the reviews first.

I enjoyed the book, I was interested in his and Whitney Houston's life while they were married because I could see her decline before my eyes. I always blamed him but I think he was her excuse to go a bit crazy and try drugs etc. After reading the book, he didn't act any different after marrying her than he did before he met her and I judged him incorrectly. I apologise. I am glad to see she straightened up and I am glad that he is doing well and soon to be a father again. It was very apparent in the book that he enjoyed being a father much more than she enjoyed being a mother. I guess we all like the bad boys once in a while and we all have to grow up and take responsibility for our choices. It looks like they both grew up! Thanks, Nancy

I really like this book, written on the rise and fall of Bobby Brown. A lot of people probably were looking for him to tell all about his life w/Whitney, but I am glad he only wrote about Bobby. Bobby takes responsiblity for the fast lifestyle that he lived to get to the point he in now, and I think more stars need to expose this lifestyle, so our younger generation that once looked up to and idolized him can see the ups and down of the business. This book was a easy read, and I do applaud you BB for taking the 1st step to recovery, which is admitting you have a problem.

This book was definitely worth the wait for me. It was an intimate account of what life has been like for the pop star we all used to love. Despite recent opinions of him, we all still have a favorite Bobby Brown or dance move. If you ever asked yourself 'What happened?' after reading a tabloid, this book will maybe shed some light on the situation for you and keep you intensely entertained at the same time!

I am a true fan of Whitney Houston. I'm an avid reader. I thought that this book would be an interesting read, but I ordered it months ago, I have not finished it, it's on the shelf, and I don't plan on finishing it. Sorry.

I find Bobby very honest. Just because you're portrayed as a thug doesn't mean you're not honest. Bobby is just telling it like it is. I respect him for that. Its very interesting. His mother said he was a bad kid ever since he was born. I can see that but I also see that he has a heart. He could have really embarrassed some people and chose not to. There's more to Bobby than meets the eye.

This book was disappointing in that it would have been nice for the author to have delved more into Bobby's relationship with Whitney. Most of the info in the book was common knowledge that we have already read about Bobby. There were very few surprises. One of my reasons for reading biographies or autobiographies is to get more in depth info on the subject. However, I do understand the author tried to work with Bobby but the author was up against a brick wall when Bobby dropped the ball on the project and the author had no other option but to work with what he had to date.
