The 2 original Bobby Fuller 4 albums released on one generous cd with 7 bonus cuts. It is hard to imagine a cd that offers this much value for the money. The music is terrific and the sound excellent-perhaps state of the art for the period.

The Bobby Fuller 4 recorded many excellent songs. There is much more than "I Fought The Law" from this great band.

In the early to mid 1960s the US produced many outstanding bands including The Beach Boys, The Four Seasons, The Byrds etc.
The Bobby Fuller Four certainly had the potential to rival the above band's influence, however due to Bobby's untimely death, this potential could never be realised and they remain mostly underated and overlooked.
This CD from the excellent Ace Records label brings their 2 LP releases KLRA King Of The Wheels and I Fought The Law, plus 7 bonus tracks.
Ok, only complaint is the 24 tracks are not in chronological order.
There are some fantastic surf sounds in Thunder Reef, wolf sounds in Wolfman and dragster stuff in the instrunmental The Lonely Dragster and, with some vocals, The Phantom Dragster.
The teenage type love songs are mostly up tempo, especially Love Made A Fool Of You, although Another Sad And Lonely Night is on the down side, but still excuted with skill and energy.
I always enjoy I Fought The Law, so this really is fantastic all the way through, however if this 57 minutes is too much you could try I Fought The Law The Best Of The Bobby Fuller Four on the Rhino label.
PS Bobby Fuller And The Frantics's 1964 surf instrumental Our Favourite Martian can be found on another Ace CD, The Birth Of Surf, Vol 2.
