Just seeing the picture of the Scooter on the screen is making our son yell bike! bike! that is what he calls his Bobby. He lives on this. We take it to the park, for walks around the neighborhood & since it is narrow enough he can even ride it inside the house. One of his favorite toys yet. I like that it is sturdy & can take a beating. I also like that it is made in Germany & not in China like most kids toys. We go it for him when he was 17 months old & he is just a little bit over the average height for his age & was able to reach the ground easily with his feet.

This was purchased for a 20 month old child.
It was just what I wanted as the child can easily straddle the toy and his feet touch the ground. I did not give it 5 stars because the horn barely honks. I'm sure if I returned it the replacement would have a better functioning horn but once you have assembled the toy you can't get it back in the box. Check the horn before assembling! My grandson definitely notices. There was a lot of assembly and the directions were not clear. I still would have bought it because it was just what I was looking for and had not been able to find in a dozen toy stores. Great toy to develop balancing skills needed later for bike riding.

First of all, this is not badly made, but I feel for the age group it is poorly designed. I had no idea it would be so tippable, but it is. My 2 year old grandson, who is tall, was constantly falling over with it on trying to turn it. Assembly instructions were just a sequence of numbered drawings, which was really adequate, especially since you could look at the picture of it fully assembled on the box, BUT... The little issue of push nuts (those pesky end caps that cover the exposed axel ends) did me in when I successfully hammered the second back push nut on only to realize I had not yet put the wheel on that side! Omg! After one utube video how-to and much patience interspersed with expletives, I got the bleeping thing off and retraced my steps and put on the wheel and rehammered the push nut. I will say that they do not include a spare, but at least the are made of metal, so it held up pretty well to my hammering and prying. I have had this happen before with two wagons , and those were plastic and if you don't have a spare in that case you might have no salvageable end cap and have to hunt one up or call customer service. We might grow into the Bobby Scooter, but I think my grandson is pretty much done with it for now. Oh well, another item for donation. Certainly not going to disassemble and return. The Bobby, Btw is made in Germany. I wish it did not tip over so easily as everything else about it is kind of nice and cute--push nuts aside.
