3.0 out of 5 stars It was a perfect idea..., July 8, 2001

This review is from: Bobcat Pride: Ohio University Basketball (Hardcover)
On the heels of an NCAA Tournament appearance and with the two-time Mid-American Conference player-of-the-year returning for his junior year, a book to chronicle a can't miss successful season would sell like hotcakes. That was the idea that fueled "Bobcat Pride"; a copycat of "Season on the Brink" without the controversy of Bobby Knight.

The book would begin with fall practice, then a run into the Pre-Season NIT. And it was a storybook beginning for Lee Caryer and Larry Hunter, as the Bobcats rolled through the field of 32 and brought home the Championship trophy. But the wheels would fall off down the stretch, the Bobcats would lose in the conference tournament semi-finals, and the storybook happy ending would have to wait for another book.

But buy it anyway, if for no other reason than to see my name in the acknowledgements.
