I have been baking gluten-free on a daily basis for approximately 3 years. Believe me when I say that I have tried just about every brand of Brown Rice Flour there is. Here is the skinny:
If you want a very tender, melt in your mouth baked good that is reminiscent of your wheat flour days, use Authentic Foods Brown Rice Flour. Their BRF is so fine that it is almost silky. If you bake as much as I do, and want to use Authentic Foods BRF for everything, you should look into getting a second job. That stuff is PRICEY.
If you don't want to get a second job, Bob's Red Mill BRF is the way to go, but your baked good will suffer a bit due to the sandy, gritty texture of this flour. Through trial and error, you will find that it works fine for some recipes, but others may seen a bit more gritty and crumbly. Processing this BRF in the Cuisinart or blender doesn't seem to help. So, I plan to beg Bob to choose a finer grind for the BRF his company produces. PLEASE. Pretty please? I would love you forever.

I've been ordering this rice and also the Bob's Red Mill Organic White Rice Flour through Amazon's subscription for several months now. I couldn't be more pleased. Bob's Rice flours are finely milled so there isn't that gritty taste in your foods. I order at least 2 cases of each a month and I've never had a problem with any of my flours and all those I've received have been labeled "organic". Would love to see Amazon offer Bob's Sweet Rice Flour and their White Bean Flour, too.

We like the brown rice flour as we feel we get a little nutrition with it. Rice flour browns and crisps nicely. It makes a fabulous fried chicken and pancakes are crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Being gluten-free is not such a bad thing. Some things even taste better.

I substitute this flour in regular cooking recipes for cookies, muffins, etc. when it calls for wheat flour, and they come out great! This makes a gluten free version when I am craving a desert. I love Bob's Red Mill products.

I love this brand of flour.. and the price that I am getting it for on Amazon is amazing. I love the automatic shipment option. I wish that they would finely grind the flour a bit more as it can be grainy in some bakery items. Great product!!

most of these packages came with holes in the plastic, and wierd cobwebby 'dust' around the openings - and winged bugs! i threw the bad ones out, but the 'good' one soon developed the same symptoms. it was disgusting.
what a waste! amazon should really list an expiration date for these type of products. yuck!

This bulk pricing is a good deal on a GF brown rice flour. Essential product for a GF pantry.

If you are tired of not being able to use flour in some of your holiday baking because of gluten issues. Then this is a great product for you to purchase, Bob's Red Mill Brown Rice flour make using gluten free products easy for any reciepe that calls for flour.
Over the years it has become easier to find gluten free products, but most of the time it is usually twice the price of regular non-gluten free products. This was a great deal to purchase through Amazon.com.
General Mills has also come up with other gluten free products, now you can have rolls and pancakes again.

The price is great. If you are concerned about shipping costs, just add something small to your cart to get to the free shipping threshold and you'll save a bunch. For example, I usually purchase Tinkyada rice spaghetti or Sesmark rice crackers at the same time and then my whole order qualifies for free shipping. Consider it. The convenience of receiving this at home was dreamy. The fact that this is organic is fantastic. I am soooooo happy I found this on Amazon. I'll be purchasing lots more in the future.

I decided to try this product, as I am trying to move toward more natural, whole grains and away from the traditional bleached white flour. I have not found a recipe that this flour was not great in! I've baked cookies with it and pizza dough...both turned out wonderfully! I would definitely purchase this product again!
