This is the only baking soda I use in my house. One teaspoon in 8 oz of water will immediately alleviate heartburn. I use it in my home made laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent and a teaspoon in 8 oz. of water will cure a UTI in a heart beat.

Because this baking soda is aluminum free, you can ingest it daily in small amounts to keep your blood alkaline. Cancer cells and viruses can't live in an alkaline environment and baking soda keeps the blood alkaline when ingested daily in small amounts.

The idea of learning about trace aluminum in your typical brand of baking soda, had me searching for an alternative almost immediately. It seems Bob's Red Mill is one of the few brands that touts the absence of this metal in it's product. I can attest this does it's job well as sodium bicarbonate, and I recommend the use of this over less costly products from a health conscious stand point. Your health is something to revere, no?

Red Mill Baking Soda
I have used this product for years and am still amazed at how good it still is. The amount you get for the price is phenomenal. I highly recommend it if you use baking soda.

This Is Good Quality
It seems to be fresh since it reacts as anticipated. There isn't any other way to tell if baking soda is ok. Buying in bulk makes sense too.

Good product, bad packaging
As I have read on several other reviews, 3 of my 4 bags arrived open. They were inside a Bob's Red Mill box, so I am unsure if the problem was Bobs Red Mill, or Amazon (shipper). Read more

Broken upon arrival
All the bags were broken when they arrived. Baking Soda everywhere....beware. Good products, horrible packaging. Needs to be dealt with before I buy any more.
