These wheat berries are clean and very fresh. The Subscribe & Save is a great deal if you don't have a local source for wheat berries. I made the most amazing bread I have ever tasted with these freshly ground wheat berries. I would recommend these and Bob's Red Mill products in general to anyone wanting healthy, quality ingredients to feed to their family. Yum!

It's wheat! Ok, it's good wheat, too! Takes an hour cooking to get it right but when done right, it's terrific! I make a large pot, one whole bag at a time in my medium stock pot and then freeze it in 8oz tubs. Makes it handy as heck. Great for breakfast with a bit of butter and a teaspoon of brown sugar, but also terrific in a hearty beef soup. Mix it half and half with your rice for a stuffed bell pepper or fry it for a Mexican dish. It works in a lot of ways! This is a five in my book!
