5.0 out of 5 stars Evokes emotion like no others you've ever felt....
Bodega Bohemia is THE defining Camouflage album...there are only a few albums that I just keep going back to and this is one of them. It's as if the whole sound of the album can evoke an emotion that is so hard to define--but it's a good feeling! When I first heard it, so many things went through my mind all at once: haunting, beautiful, the way things get so green...

3.0 out of 5 stars perfectly satisfactory
Camouflage's new disc reminds me of that Botticelli painting, "The Gargantuan Love Trial of Eduardo Unesterio," with broad colorful strokes and deep, deep hues. Of course, it's a rock record and rock is good. It's like my uncle told me, "you put some guitars, bass and drums on there, add some vocals, and voila, rock and roll!" Keep on rockin',...

Bodega Bohemia is THE defining Camouflage album...there are only a few albums that I just keep going back to and this is one of them. It's as if the whole sound of the album can evoke an emotion that is so hard to define--but it's a good feeling! When I first heard it, so many things went through my mind all at once: haunting, beautiful, the way things get so green right before a storm, walking down a favorite street late at night when it's empty, melancholy, a warm breeze.....things that are comforting and a little sad all at once.....these are songs that emit colors if you just let yourself go and experience it! Two immensely superior tracks, Suspicious Love and Close are so flawless that when I compile favorites to listen to they are always there. The very beginning of the track Falling always brings to mind the vast empty place haunted by ghosts in the 1962 film Carnival Of Souls. While bands like Depeche Mode and Red Flag have gone this way and that, Camouflage seems to know what they want to express and does it so well whether upbeat or subdued. This is a brilliant example of melody and storytelling, and I feel the best European release in the company of XYMOX (circa Twist Of Shadows and Phoenix) and Hubert Kah. Sit back, put on the headphones, and let it take you away.....

4.0 out of 5 stars Some gems., August 20, 2003

All I have to say is buy this album for tracks 2 and 5 alone. Both are amazing and smooth and edgy and powerful and very complex and creative and catchy. They stir up amazing emotions. And of course, the classic Suspicious Love is on it as well. You can't go wrong. And their follow-up to this album, Sensor, which was just released this year a decade later, is amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Electronic pop definition, December 17, 1999

I have been following Camouflage since long ago, I think that this record has the best song of the band. Actually I spent like two years to buy it here in Mexico until I did from Amazon. What I can tell you is that this is a definition of an Album, you can play and enjoy it more if you listen it completely. However, Camouflage's opus dei is Suspicious Love, if you buy this CD you can be guaranteed that only this song may be sold by the triple of the CD's price.

5.0 out of 5 stars best Camouflage album, March 23, 2007

After purchasing their compilation "We Stroke the Flames", I had to check out the rest of Camouflage's albums. Unfortunately, apart from the great (and back to form) "Relocated", the rest of their albums are mostly awful. Bodega Bohemia is the exception, and by far the best Camouflage CD to own.
