This gem of a tea press is simple to use and keeps tea piping hot. I have used the Bodum Assam Tea Press for a few years with a few minor "could be improveds," the main one being that the tea cools down quickly, even when using a tea cosy. The Bora Bora is a huge improvement. The tea stays as hot as freshly brewed, clear, and does not get bitter. Another improvement from the Assam is the basket the loose tea goes in fits tighter and doesn't overflow when water is added. The pot is easy to clean, and is as simple to use as a tea bag. This pot is very good looking and well designed. If Bodum comes out with a four cup Bora Bora Doublewall Thermo Tea Press I will buy it as well! May be a bit pricey, but does what it is supposed to do and looks fantastic doing it.

I love the double wall glasses and bought the teapot when I saw it was available. I use the teapot and the glasses together--a great pair. I get four glasses of tea from the pot, and the last one is still at an enjoyable drinking temperature. I don't use a tea cozy, and this pot is better than any ceramic one I have used. The glass is thin and certainly looks fragile; possibly not the best thing to have in a house with small children. But I've had the glasses well over a year, and the teapot several months, with no breakage. And the teapot does sit out on my counter. Laboratory glassware is just tougher than you think--it is not lead crystal. The infuser works well also, and it is very nice to be able to stop the brewing without having to dispose immediately of the tea leaves or their container. For me, it's been worth the price.

Best teapot I've owned,

This teapot is perfect for one person, making just enough for a few cups. The double wall keeps the tea very hot for a long time, but the teapot itself doesn't become too hot to handle. I much prefer loose tea and this allows you to see the strength of the brew through the glass walls, then immediately stop the process by pushing down the plunger. Its definitely worth the price, and I can't imagine using anything else now.
