This teapot looks very good and makes great tea. Unfortunately, my praise ends there. This product has a flawed design. There is no mechanism for easy removal of the infuser. The infuser itself was made to be taken out (there are retractable prongs), but there is no way to carefully do this. When I tried to clean it, the glass broke (this was the first time I had ever used it, and I am a reasonably careful person). Also, broken glass is NOT covered under Bodum's warranty. My advice is to stick with cast iron pots. They are more expensive, but they last forever under normal conditions.

Want to add a note, the pictures of this teapot is misleading. I just ordered my Shin Cha and got it last week. To my dismay, instead of the tea strainer being 100% stainless, they now add a rubber cushion around the top lip of the opening and continues down the strainer about an inch into the inside of the teapot.
I ordered a second one just to verify this, and the 2nd teapot came with the same tea strainer. I called Bodum, and they said that this is the new design to prevent the strainer from breaking the teapot. Well, although I'm a purist when it comes to NOT having plastic/rubber elements in my food/drinks, I decided to still keep this teapot. I just don't fill the water high enough for it to touch the rubber, and I don't think anyone would want to fill it that high anyways. Glass teapots make brewing my lose tea to the perfect stregnth that much easier, so I can get it steeped to the perfect time by being able to look at the color of the tea, and not just going by the time...especially on 2nd brews. When the tea reaches just the right stregnth, I push down on the stopper, and it stops steeping. And when I'm ready for another pot the next day, I just reuse the same tea in the strainer from the day before, and its all ready to go, just pour hot water in it again. This teapot also has an excellent pour...no drips anywhere! I really like that, and it holds enough water for at least 4 large cups of tea. So I can overlook the rubber, but it does bother me a bit that its there, but i guess I'd rather have the cushion, than a broken teapot.

I've always been a Bodum fan and I've had two of these in my kitchen. It's the perfect size if you're having tea for one or two. The nozzle stains when you frequently use it but it doesn't pose a problem. Design is sleek, it's lightweight and easy to clean. Only catch is that if you're not careful, it also easily breaks.

This teapot has graceful lines and is delicate. I've had other Bodum glass tea pots and with the exception of the two cup size, they all made tea brewing easy with a wonderful and 'satisfying cup of tea" result.

This is a great little tea pot. I bought it to replace one that I received as a gift. This one has the stainless steel strainer, which makes it more sturdy. I store it carefully because the glass is thin, but I love it. When pushed down, the insert stops the tea from brewing, making deliciously perfect tea every time.

The best teapot design around. So elegant and easy to use. The clear glass allows you to see if your tea has finished steeping and achieved the right color. I love the pouring spout so much more than the one on the Assam version. Makes a wonderful gift for any tea lover!
