I bought this for my husband, and it broke within a week. It just stopped working. It was never dropped or anything. Very disappointing. We even changed the battery etc. It was broke. Cute modern design, but not worth the money.

I used to sometimes forget my coffee and left it in the french press for 6-8 minutes and ruined the taste. This is a great product so you don't overbrew your coffee. It stores nicely on the plunger rod, but you may need to remove it to press down completely if you're making a small quantity.

I have to be honest, I did NOT buy this to boil eggs; I bought this for meditation. I do a specific 4-minute meditation for clearing out junk and reprogramming my mind at the beginning of the day. I was either using a stopwatch, setting the alarm really quick or using one of those old wind-up manual 'ticking' type minute timers for cooking. When I stumbled across this timer I thought I had to try it...

Well, for my purposes, it was the perfect solution to my problem. I punch a button, set the timer at my side and do my meditation. In four minutes, a gentle alarm goes off to let me know that the time is up. No more fiddling with the alarm or being annoyed by noisy ticking kitchen timers. I will start promoting this to my friends who meditate.

Well maybe not everything but it help to keep your itchy paws off the press until it is time.

This timer is stylish and works well with many press designs

Simple gadget that reminds me not to overbrew coffee or tea when I'm distracted or sleepy. Attaches to my Bodum coffee press but pops off when the cylinder is fully pressed all the way down. Works great, pleased with product.
