I recieved these glasses as a gift and initially thought they would not last a month due to the relatively delicate appearance and rather light heft compared to my usual glassware. I was suprised to discover Bodum's borosilicate glass construction is indeed as durable as they advertise. The glasses have not scratched with daily use and are indeed dishwasher safe. I had thought the silicone plugs sealing the bottom of the glass would leak over time allowing water to collect between the two glass walls but again this was unfounded.

The insulative properties of an air layer eliminate condensation in a humid enviornment but are inferior to some double walled plastics I have used in maintaining beverage temperature. Of course, those rather tacky plastic vessels did not last a month...

I love these glasses, even though I've already broken one. They are pretty, classy and nice. I will buy more if I break more!

I bought these for my husband for Christmas after he had returned 2 other sets of latte glasses because they just were not 'right' for his morning ritual. He loves these. They hold the right amount, are stylish and don't get too warm. Also, the pressure release valve on the bottom is a great idea. The manufacturer says you can put them in the dishwasher but they just look too delicate to me so I hand wash them. I've also heard from others that they do survive the dishwasher but are easily broken if they get knocked around. Luckily the 4 pack is a good deal compared to the other Bodum glasses. I'll buy another set.
