5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Double Shot of Espresso: Handle With Care!
My complaint about my two-ounce Bodum espresso cups was that they didn't have a handle. No such problem here. These cups are a perfect size for a double-shot of espresso. They are a perfect compliment to our Super Automatic Espresso maker. The only downside to Bodum cups like this is that they look much bigger than a regular double-espresso cup because they are...

2.0 out of 5 stars Leaking already....!
I read some of the reviews on these cups (with handles, without, espresso and coffee cups) and finally ordered these for 23 dollars for two cups. I was SO careful with them, never in the dishwasher----all due to the reviews that spoke of their fragility. Well, about 5 uses and the one has water trapped between the two layers of glass. I would advise against purchase;...

My complaint about my two-ounce Bodum espresso cups was that they didn't have a handle. No such problem here. These cups are a perfect size for a double-shot of espresso. They are a perfect compliment to our Super Automatic Espresso maker. The only downside to Bodum cups like this is that they look much bigger than a regular double-espresso cup because they are dual-walled. But, your espresso will stay hot and they look VERY nice.

They are quite delicate, but have worked well in the dishwasher and have held up well overall. I broke one after dropping it, but can't blame that on the product. I'm certain I will buy a replacement.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cracked, November 30, 2008
This review is from: Bodum Bistro Double-Wall Insulated Glass Espresso Mugs, Set of 2 (Kitchen)
I got this 8 months ago and I loved the design. I've used it perhaps 20-30 times so far. It broke with no reason! I've always handwashed it and I never dropped it, etc. Yesterday I drank coffee and I didn't notice anything. Today, I looked at it and the inside was cracked! A thin line to the top. I have no idea how this happened. Weird. I am baffled. I feel I can't use it anymore in case there are fine particles of glass along the crack that will get into my coffee. So that was it. After 20-30 uses!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great looking little cup, March 17, 2008

These cups are very pretty to look at. I bought these to use with my Senseo machine. They are the perfect size for a Senseo cup and about 2 teaspoons of cream... max.

They are a bit fragile, but not anything to worry about that much. I've been using them for a month, now and have experienced no problems. None has broken or come close and I set them down on slate countertops. I always wash them in the dishwasher. Otherwise I wouldn't say I am all that careful with them.

I searched high and low for nice coffee cups around 5 oz size to use with my Senseo pod coffee maker. The Senseo makes 4 oz cups of coffee with a bit of froth on top.
These are the perfect size. And the frothy Senseo coffee looks great viewed through the clear borosilicate glass.
They're contemporary and insulated, sure to draw comments from whomever you share them with.
A bit pricey at $10 per cup, but they're exactly what I was looking for.
I'm going to buy some more of the bodum glasses in different sizes.

I loved these little espresso mugs BUT they broke, cracked and became dangerous in just a few weeks of ordinary everyday use. Too expensive to replace for such limited service. Too delicate for me. Too bad.

4.0 out of 5 stars All around good, December 22, 2011
I've been using the bodum double-wall glasses for a while now. I started with a set of these paying nearly $50 a couple years back now, and I still have both of them to this day. They are made very well, and even though some people have complained about durability, it's simply because they can not handle a fall, they will break. But after all, is glass suppose to stay together after a fall? They do well for keeping espresso hot to enjoy, and you're no longer "Shooting" the bottom because it cooled down during the process of enjoying it. These glasses need very little pre-heating (I usually empty my steam water into them before I brew and let them sit for a minute or two, this does it perfectly), and they keep the heat for a good 5-10 minutes at room temperature. The compacity is right for a true double shot, or two ounces or about 60ml whichever unit you want to use. And if you haven't used a clear espresso glass before, you can pay attention to the finer details as you brew - i.e. color change, level of crema, and rate of crema dispersal. For the price amazon offers any of the Bodum for, it's a good deal all around. I've ordered two more sets of different sizes since these, and all have arrived in good shape and good time. Only one has broken on me, and it was due to a 5 ft drop cleaning accident. One thing I will say, they tend to "dim" in their original shine if you wash them in a dishwasher. I keep to washing these by hand, and it's helped keep them looking like new over the years.

Love these delicate glasses. If you're looking for some glasses to go with your Nespresso Citiz machine these are perfectly sized for an espresso or lungo sized cup of joe with minimal sugar and milk added.

These are nice cups for a double espresso or a lungo. The inner glass on one of my cups is substantially off-center. I understand these are hand blown, but this is so bad that I would guess the person making them did not care about quality.

Had the product 3 weeks and the handle fell off one of the cups. These are very cheaply made for the cost. Look for a better set.
