What's not to love? These handsome glasses combine great looks with insulating temperature control qualities and anti-condensation protection to boot. These glasses, like all Bodum Canteen glasses, are hand made and mouth blown, and cleverly feature a two glass walls, trapping air between the walls to provide insulation, keeping hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. As an added bonus, the dual layers prevent condensation accumulating on the outside of cold drinks and dripping onto your wood tables.
The design is not only functional but adds a striking visual aspect to the containers also: beverages seem to float within the glass due to the double-walled design. I really love these glasses, however, getting them to arrive safely can be quite a chore. Two of three sets arrived shattered (two seperate shipments). In both shipments they were packaged in the same manner that Amazon packages books - works fine if you ARE a book, but it doesn't cut it for things this fragile. I'm giving them a 5 star because they are unique and attractive, but beware: the glass is EXTREMELY thin and will very easily break.

My first order for these glasses arrived with one broken glass. Amazon quickly sent a replacement. I was initially thrilled with them as I had been looking for insulated drinkware that was a step up from plastic. But, my enthusiasm quickly faded. After a week or so, the bottom of one glass cracked simply from being filled with ice cubes. Then, a week later, the second glass cracked in the dishwasher. They're simply too fragile for everyday use. I sent Bodum an e-mail with my comments but they never replied. Great idea, poor execution.

I bought these glasses and thought I would have to wait a month for them to come in stock. I didn't they came about 2 weeks after I ordered them. They are great! I have some of the plastic cheap type and used them all the time. When I saw that Bodum had the real glass I thought they would look much better then my plastic that is getting to look bad. These glasses will not sweat so you can sit them on a table without a coaster. I love using them for icecream too! Go into the dishwasher great!
One down side in the shipping process. One set was broken. They don't package them good at all in shipping. Have to send one back and cross fingers for the next set not to be busted up!
