The Iced Tea Maker is great for what it is. However, I could never access any instruction info on Amazon. It wasn't until I received the item that I found the method used to make the tea--You make half a pitcher of hot tea, then add water or ice to chill. It's a good product; I just didn't have full knowledge before. The item is certainly more civilized than the appliance Iced Tea Makers I was trying to avoid.

Love this pitcher's ease of use - it does just what it needs to without additional fussy gadgets. Plus the slim design makes it very easy to fit in the fridge. Have already recommended it to several of my friends who also love iced tea!

This item sparked my interest as soon as I saw it so I bought one and (don't you love it when this happens), it was better than I'd hoped.I drink iced tea pretty much daily in lieu of soft drinks or fruit aides. I've tried a number of methods over the years to maximize the number of times when I can simply pour a glass from the fridge vs. spending time to prepare before partaking. This is the best solution I've found. Whenever I pour my last glass from the pitcher, I take the short time it takes to add some loose tea to the removable filter and (OK, this makes it easier for me) fill the pitcher half-way from the near-boiling water dispenser at our sink. I set the stove timer for five minutes and go about my business. When the timer goes of, it takes all of 30 seconds to dump the soggy tea leaves down the disposer, fill the pitcher to the top with cold water and replace it in the fridge. One important suggestion: dump the tea leaves as soon as you remove the filter from the hot water. If you set it in the sink to deal with later, the leaves will swell and make it much more difficult to empty. (BTW, I wound up writing this review for the 51-ounce model as I came to the site to order the 102 ounce model. Twice as big is bound to be twice as good, right?)

I was a little dismayed at how small this was - but it fits great in the fridge and since I use tea bags instead of loose leaf - I have no probelm with the floaters. Still it's nice to know I can do loose leaf if I want to. I didn't get the tea that was to come with it. It would be nicer if there was a way to close up the pour spout - just have to be more careful when transporting in and out of the refrigerator when full. I recommend this highly though - the issues are very minor and this is so easy to use!

I usually brew hot tea on a mug by mug basis but it's a hassle when I want it cold. This pitcher makes it simple to brew quite a bit at once and refrigerate. Pour in half a pitcher of hot, not boiling water, and let it steep. Then add a half pitcher of cold water and you're set. There will be some small dregs and leaves that escape the filter, but honestly, it's not bad. I'm really pleased with this purchase.

We love this Iced Tea Maker. We used to go through three or four bottles of Honest Tea a day, and now we make our own. The only issue I have with it is that the lid is permanently attached, making it difficult to put in the dishwasher. I hand wash it.

This is a pretty little pitcher, just the size I thought it would be, good for 2 people. I got it to make thai tea, which is loose and a bit of a mess to make a pitcher of it otherwise. So I was looking forward to having the removable filter to make this process easier, but there was way too much loose tea floating in the pitcher that got through the filter. It may not bother some, but it looked dirty and cloudy, not nice for thai tea (or any tea in my opinion - I made the sample loose tea it came with, turned out cloudy and unappealing looking). Now after I brew it, I pour it through a coffee filter inside of a mesh strainer into glasses before drinking, and then it's fine, but I didn't think I'd need that extra equipment. It is pretty to see the process of tea infusing in the clear pitcher, and I can definitely use it with tea bags or for fruit infused water.

I love lemon water, so it's perfect. Although let's be honest little tea bits do get through the strainer, but not enough that it ruins the batch. I would just be careful with the last sip. This size is perfect for a small fridge. It pours about 12 glasses in one batch.

I have been making ice tea with some exquisite green tea I bought in China. When I made it in a glass pitcher, the tea stained the glass and I had to be very careful that the water wasn't too hot or it could crack the pitcher. The pitcher had no lid so if I wanted to refrigerate it, I had to put plastic wrap over the top. The Bodum tea maker solves all those issues including the fact that it doesn't stain. It's a great size and the removable infuser is perfect for loose tea. I'm very pleased.

This is tiny. Maybe it will make ice tea for two- but not for a family. Also, I had read on the site that was dishwasher safe. Not true. The lid never comes off so you can not put it in the dishwasher. Maybe there is a larger one? Also for what it is worth, it did not come with the bonus tea sample.
