I've owned several french presses, and ordered this one from Amazon for my dorm room because it was the cheapest available. The plunger broke after the third day of use; I can snap all the pieces of the plunger back, but the small plastic piece that attaches them is not strong enough to hold under pressure, and the plunger comes apart when it's used. This model is poorly made -- I've broken the glass carafes of french presses before, but never the plungers. I'd recommend spending a bit more to get a model that will last.

Great product. Own three Bodum french presses and this works as well as the others.

Great Coffee, that's what you get with a French Press and this model is no exception. Works like it's supposed to and is really easy to break down and clean. To help clear up how many cups this model makes, I drink my coffee black and with a full press I can get just about 3 standard sized coffee mugs. If you like milk in your coffee I don't see why you shouldn't be able to stretch it out to 4 cups.

All in all, this is a great unit and I would recommend this to anyone that's in the market for a French Press that can provide anywhere from 2-4 cups in one brew.

Excellent coffee press. It's easy to use, easy to clean (is dishwasher safe). Some coffee grinds do come through the screen if you grind the coffee too fine, so you may not want to drink the last drop! Definitely recommend to coffee lovers!

I received the Bodum New Kenya 27 oz. coffee press for my birthday, and have not used my coffee maker since. The French press method of brewing is notorious for a more flavorful cup of coffee because it captures more of the oils from the coffee bean, and this particular press does a great job of producing a tasty cup of java. The exterior housing is made of plastic, but the glass carafe and components (lid, plunger, filter) are the same as other Bodum models. One of my best friends has a Bodum coffee press (different model) and commented that he really liked the styling. That's all well and good, but does it make good coffee? Oh yes... yes it does. I would recommend this press to anyone, and will probably purchase one as a gift.

If you've never used a press you don't know what you are missing. It really does make a difference. Coffee has a much better flavor when the grounds are allowed to soak in hot water.

Ordered this press for work since I already have one for home. It works great and is easy to clean. Mine has held up well. Hard to beat for the price.

All coffee presses are not alike. The fine mesh filter in this Bodum New Kenya 27 ounce press keeps coffee grounds out of your cup. The pot has stylish - what more could you want from a fine coffee press?

This press isn't the most sturdy, but it is well made.

When pressing, there is a lot of pressure as compared to

other presses I have used before. That is not necessarily a

bad thing, and it always makes a good cup of coffee

when I press it gently (gentler pressing=better quality coffee).

It also looks stylish too.
