Product Description

The Kona coffee maker promises excellent, rich taste and robust aroma while maintaining the natural oils of the ground coffee. For the perfect cup of coffee, users simply fill the gold, cone-shaped filter with freshly ground coffee beans and pour a small amount of heated water over them until soaked. Slowly pour the remaining hot water into the filter. Coffee will drip into the mouth-blown, borosilicate glass carafe and, in three to four minutes, will be ready to serve. Remove the filter from the carafe before serving and enjoy! The Kona has a 1-liter capacity, ideal for 8 cups of coffee. Additionally, it features a heat-resistant, black, grooved neck and elegant long spout that allows for comfortable, easy pouring.

I work in an office where nothing with a heater is allowed - No coffee pots or hots pots etc. There is a water cooler that has a boiling hot water tap.

I have owned the Bodum pour over drip coffee maker for around 2 years making coffee every day. It is not fragile (as some reviewers suggest) - but if you are prone to breaking glass things.....

French press coffee is good - but the actual presses are messy and a pain to clean out the grounds.

If I was able to use an automatic coffee-pot I would - this is the next best thing.

The device has been a life-saver.

Good side:
It works and makes tasty coffee

Bad Side:
It is slow and needs to have more hot water poured in manually

Advice:
Put a paper coffee filter inside the other filter for easy clean-up

I have lost 2 of these coffee pots, one with a spout & this one, which highly disappointed me. The bottom of the pot is much too delicate to survive, & although I loved the look, I really hated picking up the shards of glass!

The first one shattered on a counter top, the 2nd did not survive a gentle tap from a saucer in the top shelf of the dishwasher. Neither of these pots lasted a week. So, unless you have padded countertops, sink & floors, stick with a more solid product.

You take a risk just trying to hand wash this. We have broken two just by gently bumping them on the side of the sink while washing. Wow!
